Abstract: 

Objective: The purpose of this study was to describe nurses' knowledge about SAE in a private hospital in the city of Nerópolis-Go. Methodology: Based on a descriptive methodology qualitative analysis. The research was carried out in a Private Hospital, which was contracted to the SUS in the Municipality of Neropólis-Go, an entity with lucrative assets and also aimed at providing assistance to needy people who need care and who use the Unified Health System). For the analysis of the data the technique of content analysis of Bardin (2011) was used. The sample consisted of 7 Nurses, aged between the interval greater than or equal to 21 years and less than or equal to 35 years. All participants are nurses. The period of service at the institution prevailed between 6 months and 5 years. Results: Data analysis resulted in three categories, followed by their subcategories, Category I: Nurses 'perception about SAE and its stages, with its subcategory: nurses' knowledge about SAE stages. Category II: Recognition of SAE implementation as an instrument of theoretical and practical articulation and finally category III: Difficulties in implementation presented as: lack of knowledge, work overload, reduced number of professionals, lack of records, lack of knowledge of the functioning of the the implementation of the SAE by the nurse and the operationalization of the Nursing Process. Conclusion: With the present study, it was observed that nurses recognize the nursing process as a method of theoretical-practical articulation. However, the statements show that there is no differentiation between the concepts of nursing care systematization and the nursing process that hinders its operationalization.
