Integrative therapies: use of meditation in women with signs of depression

Abstract: 

In the last decades the introduction of new integrative therapeutics for women with signs of depression becomes a relevant presupposition, since it conditions the physical and mental balance in times of crisis. The present study is characterized by the use of the qualitative-quantitative approach and the objectives are descriptive. It was carried out in a Psychology clinic in a city located in the Southwest of Bahia. Participated search 06 women with depressive signs being considered their knowledge about the importance of the practice of meditation for the symptomatic reduction of the disease. The research was carried out between April and May 2019 after acceptance and prior scheduling. The findings of this study pointed out that meditation stimulates healthy aspects, associating with mental health. Thus, it was possible to identify, that the interviewees experience a series of positive results, among them, in the emotional, cognitive, physical and social contexts, with predominance in the answers related to the cognitive and emotional areas.
