The effectiveness of ‘pain digital acupressure (pda)’ in reducing labor pain and the duration of the second stage of labor

The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still the highest among Asian countries. One of the reasons is due to prolonged labor that is influenced by the anxiety and fear of the mother during labor. Anxiety and pain are very connected and influence each other. The pain will release the hormone that will disturb uterine contraction and increase the respiratory stimulation and decrease levels of CO2 in mother and fetus. This will influence the wellness of both mother and fetus.

The effectiveness of flavonoid and terpenoid isolate sarang semut (myrmecodia pendens merr and perry) against phorphyromonas gingivalis atcc 33277

Ethyl acetate fraction of sarang semut plants (Myrmecodia pendens Merr and Perry) were reportedto contain flavonoids and terpenoids which have antibacterial activity against dental cariesbacteria. The aim of this study is to isolate flavonoids and terpenoids from M. pendens tubers and to test their effectiveness against Porphyromonas gingivalis ATCC 33277bacteria which are the main cause of periodentitis. Flavonoid and terpenoid were isolated using chromatographic methods. Characterization of flavonoids and terpenoids is done using UV, IR, NMR, and MS spectroscopy.

Statins are very commonly used antihyperlipidaemic in all over theworld. Statins are the main API occurred in all antihyperlipidaemic drugs. This classes of compounds are the most efficacious and the best tolerated hypolipidaemic drugs. Statins reduced the raised LDL-CH associated mortality and morbidity is now established. Up to certain therapeutic dose is useful but anoverdose of Statins start side effects like a headache, Nausea, vomiting and bowel upset, rashes on the body.

Development of urban trip generation model based on residential area: a case study of ward no. 09 under khulna city corporation, Bangladesh

The aim of this paper is to formulate a trip generation model using Cross-Classification method for the ward no. 09 under Khulna City Corporation based on Boyra Residential Area. Therefore, five key variables (households size, monthly income, car ownership, trip number for specific purposes and trip cost) were used to prepare four basic models of Cross-Classification method i.e. Income sub-model, Car ownership sub-model, Trip production sub-model and Trip purpose sub-model. A household is considered as a sampling unit for primary data collection process.

In vitro effect of nitrogen in large scalepropagation of three cultivar of tomato (lycopersicon esculentum mill.)

The effect of nitrogen was investigated on the micro propagation of three cultivars (Angoorlata, K5-7, A3ad-8) of Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum MILL.) to overcome the challenges related to its cultivation. Sterilized seeds of three cultivars were transferred on hormone free medium and used stem as explants for culture initiation. The stemexplant was cultured on MS medium fortified with BAP (0.5-5.0mg/l) along with Kn(0.5-5.0mg/l), maximum shoot multiplication were recorded on BAP (3mg/l) in cultivars.

A crucial role of calcium in brain disease

Calcium ions play an important role in neuro-transmission. The pre-synaptic calcium channel in neurons regulates the synaptic space release of neurotransmitters. Post-synaptic calcium channels in neurons are involved in the transcriptional action of neurons. The extra-synaptic calcium channels in neurons are involved in glucose metabolism, Excessive calcium in neuronal cells activates apoptotic pathways and is a fundamental cause of brain disease.
