Energy potential generated by urban solid wastes in lages-sc: Evaluation of its cost-benefits

The objective of this work is to analyze the challenges involved in the generation of energy using garbage (urban solid wastes) as the main input, and understand the processes in this type of energy generation in order to estimate the energy potential of the city of Lages. Our purpose is to explain how it works and highlight its benefits to the modern society, especially in view of the growing need of sustainable technologies that lead to human development.

Antioxidant capacidant and bioactive compounds and health benefits of camu-camu puree (myrciaria dubia (h.b.k) mc vaugh)

Camu-camu (Myrciaria dubia) H.B.K.) Mc Vaugh) fruits are promising sources of various bioactive compounds such as vitamin C, phenolic compounds and carotenoids. Camu-camu is a fruit native to the Amazon region and is considered the greatest natural source of vitamin C worldwide are also good sources of dietary fiber, potassium, iron, calcium, and various kinds of amino acids such as serine, valine and leucine.

The role of design in liquid society

The industrial revolution marked the modernity development with its social, cultural and political changes. Its concepts are based on the online productive system "Fordism", in the systematic work way, in organization, in the determined space in industry, and in capital as the main factor of economic sustention and politics. We now live in a so-called postmodern period, where there is a refusal of long narratives about things. There is a valuation of the snapshot, of the fast, a search of the new, that is, everything that is old is bad and ugly.

Image based object recognition

Image registration has been long used as a basis for the detection of moving objects. In this method spatial information is often ignored, and different motions from multiple moving objects cannot be efficiently modeled. Moreover, image registration is not well suited to handle occlusion that can result in potential object misses. Here proposes a new approach to address these issues. Video frames are first segmented into uniform regions, followed by the construction of RAGs to represent each frame.

Computerized system for the sizing of floral induction in mango (mangifera indica L.) in the semiarid of Brazil

We assessed the effectiveness of a computerized system for the planning and execution of floral induction in mango using plant growth regulators and water stress in commercial production areas of the Brazilian semi-arid region. The Microsoft Excel was used to perform the calculations following the methodology applied in northeastern Brazil for floral induction. To assess the efficiency of the computerized system, we compared the simulated and observed values using the "d" concordance index.

Action of trichodermaspp. in the control of fungi that cause diseases in plants of the cerrado of tocantins Biome, Northern Brazil

Fungi of the genus Trichoderma are able to act as agents to control the growth of pathogenic fungi that cause diseases in several cultivated plants. Therefore, this work aimed to select and test Trichodermaisolates capable of inhibiting, in vitro, the mycelial growth of soil pathogens. 50 isolates of Trichoderma spp. were tested against the pathogenic fungi Sclerotiumrolfsii, Rhizoctoniasolani and Fusariumsp. The in vitro culture pairing technique was used, with scores on grades according to the criteria proposed by Bell and percentage of colonization.

Physiochemical characterization of the raw milk marketed in the municipal district of Pombal, Paraíba, Brazil

He is considered that about 20 to 30% of the production of bovine milk in Brazil is marketed without sanitary inspection, or appropriate thermal treatment. Therefore, it is of great importance to evaluate the milk in these places, like this, the study had as objective analyzes the physiochemical characteristics in samples of raw milk marketed in the municipal district of Pombal, Paraíba, Brazil.

A new approach to solve the time-dependent three-dimensional advection-diffusion equation applied to model air pollution dispersion in the planetary boundary layer

In this work we present an analytical solution for the time-dependent three-dimensional advection-diffusion equation to simulate the pollutant dispersion in the Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL). In this new approach the advection-diffusion equation is solved using a combination of the separation of variables and GILTT methods. The great advantage is that, by this way, we avoid the numerical inversion done in the previous works in literature using the GILTT method. We also report numerical simulations and statistical comparison with experimental data available in the literature.

Effectiveness of cooperative learning learning model on shooting technique engineering school students mts n 6 model padang city

The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of learning cooperative learning model in improving soccer shooting technique skill. The problem with this research is the lack of student shooting skills in the game of football. The method of this research is experimental method using design pretest and posttest, and giving 16 treatments. The subjects of this study were all students of MTs N 6 Model of Padang City who took active soccer extracurricular, as many as 20 people. The extracurricular activities were conducted through SSB Putra Wijaya in the Yonif 133 Y / S field.

The impact of scripted role-play on enhancing speaking abilities of grade seven students at lebanese private schools

Several approaches have been used to enhance speaking skills for English foreign language learners. Among these approaches is the role play. This study aimed to investigate the impact of implementing scripted role play technique for a period of seventeen weeks on the development and improvement of oral skills and attitudes of eighth graders at a private school in Lebanon. The participants of the study were 56 learners divided into two classes (30 in the treatment group and 26 in the control group). The lessons were given two hourly three time s a week.
