The present study will address how the use of resin veneers and porcelain veneers is defined, the indication and contraindication of each of the options, advantages, and limitations of each option. For the construction of the work, research was carried out on the website of the Regional Portal of the VHL Dentistry on the subject. The indication of treatment with direct veneers, in composite resin, would be for teeth with changes in color, shape, and other conditions that may affect the function and aesthetics of the dental element.

This paper aimed to develop evidence-based guidelines to make the disposal of syringes and needles, applied in vaccinations against Covid 19 safer and healthier in the UBS of the Health System of the Municipality of Iranduba, located in urban areas and non-riparian units. Thus, this research was based on a thorough process of observation, exclusively in the area of performance of the health management of the aforementioned municipality.

Introdução: Os sistemas computacionais vêm se destacando progressivamente em diferentes áreas, especificamente na área da saúde, estes são utilizados na investigação de inúmeras doenças crônicas, em particular, o câncer de mama.

A pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a conduta dos idosos diante das falsas notícias sobre saúde compartilhadas nas redes sociais virtuais.

Objetivo: Identificar o perfil social e de saúde de idosos institucionalizados. Método: Pesquisa descritiva e transversal realizada entre março e junho de 2016 com 219 idosos residentes de uma Instituição de Longa Permanência para Idosos do nordeste brasileiro. Os dados foram analisados por meio de estatística descritiva e apresentados em tabelas. Resultados: Houve predomínio de mulheres, viúvos, boa escolaridade, aposentados, católicos, 1 a 59 meses de institucionalização e que recebem visitas.

This text aims at addressing some historical and conceptual elements that anchor the decolonial discussion in order to contribute to the debate on the dimension of the formal/official curriculum as a narrative of selected concepts. It represents part of a culture defined as valid for composing the curricula, legitimized and guided by Curriculum Theories and Policies, constructed and managed by interests that guide them in different historical moments. For this, we carried out a literature review based on authors who theoretically support these discussions.

We evaluated aspects of energy consumption by air conditioning units in the Polytechnic School (PS) and the Faculty of Architecture (FA) of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), Brazil. The methodology involved a Level I energy audit based on energy consumption data in those two departments, information concerning the efficiencies of air conditioning units in operation between 2013 and 2018, and interviews with management agents and users. We encountered mid-level indicators of energy use, corresponding to 58 kWh/m²/year in the PS and 40 kWh/m²/year in the FA.

O objetivo dessa revisão foi encontrar características dos instrumentos de aço inoxidável e de níquel titanio, comparando eficiência no tempo de trabalho, segurança em relação a fraturas, curva de aprendizado através de uma vasta pesquisa literária. Para a construção do trabalho foi realizada uma revisão narrativa de literatura, para a comparação da eficiência da instrumentação manual com limas de aço inoxidável e limas M de NiTi. Parkinson's disease is a condition in which dopamine-producing cells in the brain die. Parkinson's disease symptoms appear as the amount of dopamine in the brain diminishes. Parkinson's disease is a slow-progressing condition with symptoms such as tremors in the hands, arms, legs, chin, and face that get worse with time. People may have trouble walking and speaking as the condition advances. Although there is no cure for Parkinson's disease, the symptoms of the disease can be alleviated with the use of some medications.

O objetivo desse caso clínico foi demonstrar o procedimento de remoção do retentor intrarradicular de fibra de vidro (PFV) do elemento 25, que havia fraturado na região cervical do dente, com auxílio de guia Endoguide. Foi realizada tomografia computadorizada para a visualização da localização exata do PFV e verificar a existência de mais de um canal. Como o PFV é difícil ser visualizado dentro do canal, foi proposto o conceito Endoguide para auxiliar nessa remoção. Foi realizado o escaneamento do elemento dental, confeccionado a guia Endoguide, a qual foi instalada no paciente.
