This article goes through the theme of the work environment and the risks to the worker's mental health, having as a research problem the following question: what are the implications that the unbalanced work environment causes on the employee's psychic health? In order to continue the investigation, the scientific books/articles from Maranhão (2016) and Baruki (2015) were used as theoretical references. This is a qualitative research, using the deductive method. Thus, the results found demonstrate the need for inspection and implementation of alternatives and measures that provide better working conditions. Therefore, it is necessary that there is collaboration on the part of employers, given that the health and dignity of the worker are constitutional rights, which must be respected, in order to guarantee a balanced work environment.
