Perfil epidemiológico de uma população atendida em uma unidade de saúde da família da região nordeste do Brasil

Abstract: 

The objective aim for this study was to characterize the epidemiological profile of the population attended at a Basic Health Unit in the Imperatriz-MA city. This is a cross-sectional study, descriptive, quantitative approach, carried out at the Family Health Unit of district Rodoviáriain Imperatriz-MA. Data were collected from January to December in 2018. The analysis was performed using the Microsoft Excel 2010 program. Female patients predominated (57,3%), brown color (70,1%), age range of 20-39 years old (28,7%), followed by 60 years or older (22,03%), with a high school educational level (29,7%), and average monthly family income of one or two basic salary (47,8%). Among the patients affected for some disease prevailing systemic arterial hypertension (64,2%) and Diabetes Mellitus (28,5%) were the most common diagnoses in follow-up, besides overweigh in 16,2% of the population attended. This research made possible to verify the user´s profile and risk factors for health problems, which conditions require team care and are directly related to housing conditions, income and presence of chronic diseases such as Arterial Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus.
