Rural Labourer out-migration from West Bengal: Quest for Peace and Constancy in Life

Out-migration of labourer from the rural areas is conquered by employment related reasons. Lack of employment throughout the year makes difficulty to survive and labourer are forced to move out with the aim of better employment or stable earnings throughout the year. Reason behind such decision is the hope of stability and peaceful life ahead. This research work explore the facts under this motivational point of view. Migration from villages to the other places for work, increases wage and economic conditions of the migrant workers.

Lifestyle habits and Anthropometric Measures of Adolescents in a Brazilian Public School

Objective: To analyze the dietary profile and habits of adolescents enrolled in a Brazilian public school and to verify the association between these data and their anthropometric and blood pressure measurements. Method: This is a cross-sectional, observational and analytical study. Sample was composed by 156 adolescents aged between 12 and 16 years. Participants were asked about their sociodemographic characteristics, their diet history, life habits, past personal and family pathological history, their association to their parents and their mental health.

Non-Alcoholic Hepatic Staeatosis: A Systematic Review

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a multifactorial pathology with a pathophysiology that has not yet been fully elucidated. It is associated with metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, obesity, systemic arterial hypertension and hyperlipidemia. The prevalence of this pathology is between 10 and 24% of world population. The evolution of this condition can be hepatic steatosis, with accumulation of lipids in hepatocytes, liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Diagnosis is through abdominal ultrasound.

Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) constitute an important drugs class, one of the most used in the world, with omeprazole being the best known representative. PPIs act by inhibiting the proton pump, which reduces gastric acidity and contributes to the treatment of diseases such as peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux and esophagitis. They are most used through self-medication indiscriminately and often wrongly prescribed.

Wolbachia method as a Dengue control Strategy in Brazil

Dengue represents a significant public health challenge in Brazil, with thousands of cases reported annually. Effective control of this disease requires innovative and sustainable approaches. In this context, the Wolbachia method emerges as a promising strategy, harnessing the ability of this endosymbiotic bacterium to reduce the vector competence of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the dengue virus transmitter. This integrative review assessed its effectiveness in Brazil, using scientific articles from PubMed, SciELO, and BVS databases from 2019 to 2024.

Background: Community-acquired pneumonia in individuals with HIV results from multiple risk factors, particularly immune defects a CD4 count decrease, especially when below<100cells/mm3 continues to be risk factor fro pneumonia due to routine bacterial pathogens. Assessment of risk factors which may help to assess the poor and good outcomes for patients with community-acquired pneumonia(CAP) in individuals with HIV for further evaluation of possibility their modification and through that reduction mortality rate.

Prenatal Factors Related to Premature Birth

Objectives: Identifying prenatal factors related to occurrence of premature birth. Methods: This is a transversal. The population from the present study was composed by the patient medical records of 773 alive newborns, premature which were born from January 2019 to July of 2022. The data was analyzed by the SPSS program. Results: Average age of childbearing women was 28,3 ± 6,5 years. From Puerperal 53,4% were multiparus and 22,8% presented previous abortions. Most current childbirth were performed under SUS (82,5%).
