Abstract: 

Introdução: Introduction: Since the 1960, Coronavirus infections have been known, viruses that can cause infections and respiratory symptoms that can range from a common cold to more serious illnesses. Objective: to characterize the signs and symptoms of patients confirmed with Covid-19 treated at the UBS (Basic Health Unit) Sevilla in the municipality of Gurupi, in the south of the state of Tocantins. Materials and method: Descriptive research in which a survey of the number of cases already assisted by the UBS Seville, in the municipality of Gurupi - TO, will be carried out from June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021, and will target all patients with SARS-CoV-2 (new coronavirus) monitored by the ESF (Family Health Team) of this UBS. Results: The most prevalent symptoms among those affected by the disease were headache (86%), anosmia (60%), ageusia (53%), fever (53%), cough (51%), asthenia (44%), pain. throat (30%), dyspnea (24%), myalgia (23%), diarrhea (14%), loss of appetite (7%) and nasal congestion (5%). As shown in the graphs below. Conclusion: According to the data analyzed and presented in this study, there is a high prevalence of fever and respiratory symptoms, with cough being the second most prevalent symptom among individuals infected by the coronavirus.
