Abstract:

At present, it is a relevant factor for the management of internal logistics costs to have knowledge of the purchasing batch to be purchased for the replacement of inventories, since there are storage costs that can rise as inventories increase. Quantity of items to keep in stock proportionally to the existing demand is the mission of the supermarket managers in the current market scenario. In order to estimate the internal logistic costs for the company supermarkets, the present research raises the following problematic: What is the economic lot of purchases that can provide the optimization of the logistical costs of storage for the retail supermarket? The objective of the research is focused on analyzing the operational costs of the internal storage logistics of the retail supermarket. The predominant methodological approach is quantitative, since it estimates the total costs of inventory in monetary values, and the LEC in units.
