Introdução: O tratamento cirúrgico dos Distúrbios de Diferenciação Sexual por Hiperplasia Adrenal Congênita, através da genitoplastia feminilizante tem o objetivo de confeccionar uma genitália funcional do ponto de vista estético e reprodutivo, levando em consideração o sistema urológico, permitindo continência e esvaziamento vesical adequado. Relato de caso: Pacientedeu entrada no serviço de cirurgia pediátrica em caráter ambulatorial, trazida pela mãe que referia alteração em sua genitália.

Background: Obstetric brachial plexus palsy (OBPP) is the palsy of some part or the whole of the upper limb that occurs in the newborn during a difficult delivery. OBP results from injury to the cervical roots C5–C8 and thoracic root T1 with <1% of births. Purpose: The purpose of the review is to investigate the effectiveness of electrotherapy in combination with standard rehabilitation programs in the rehabilitation of OBPP. Method: A search in online databases, through search engines as Pub-med, PEDro and Google Scholar, was conducted.

A neoplasia de mama carrega os tabus de uma doença chamada "maldita", possível causadora de desfiguração de partes do corpo e até do próprio atrativo sexual, trazendo sofrimentos por tratamentos prolongados. O tratamento mais comum é a extração da mama comprometida, sendo importante considerar que o programa de reabilitação global deve começar no período pré-operatório, envolvendo toda a equipe multidisciplinar. Desta forma, objetivou-se construir cartilha educativa para reabilitação de mulheres mastectomizadas e sua validação.

Introduction: Decreasing the time needed for osseointegration has always been a big challenge for modern implantodontists. The main factor which helps to decrease thetime needed for osseointegrationis the developed surfaces being used, as well as their microstructures, in relation to their osseoinductive properties. The aim of this work is to clinically evaluate the osseointegration of the implants when using ananodized surfaces in humans, following a 45 days-period of osseointegration.

O envelhecimento populacional é um fenômeno mundial que envolve uma séria de mudanças onde são necessárias adaptações e estudos para melhor compreender as repercussões biopsicossociais do envelhecimento. Destaca-se, que é natural uma queda no desempenho cognitivo com o avançar da idade e é necessário diferenciar o prejuízo natural de um patológico. Atualmente, não há tratamento medicamentoso para este comprometimento cognitivo leve devendo o médico clínico avaliar e acompanhar a progressão para uma possível demência.
