A maioria dos casos relatados de violência contra a mulher ocorre dentro do espaço intrafamiliar. As vítimas compartilham a residência com o seu agressor, que a entende como uma subalterna. Essa atitude patriarcal e machista é perigosa, e poderá ser ainda mais grave, caso a vítima não seja comtemplada por Leis que permitam a sua proteção, ou ainda, se esta não denunciar o seu agressor. Este manuscrito caracteriza-se como exploratório de base de estudos qualitativo.

A case report of a patient with cancer of the lower lip is presented. The reason for the treatment is an entity in the lower lip. Objective: To investigate the incidence of thyroid cancer in anesthesiologists in the city of Manaus-AM, located in the Western Amazon, factors of illness and quality of life after treatment to which they were submitted. Methods: Observational, analytical, cross-sectional study, approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Fundação Centro de Oncologia do Amazonas. Data collection was performed using an instrument built by the research team and through the University of Washington's Quality of Life Assessment Questionnaire (UW-QoL).

Esta revisão de literatura apresenta como tema central o estudo da importância da comunicação como ferramenta no cuidado paliativo, que pode ser definido sucintamente como uma abordagem que objetiva melhorar a qualidade de vida de pacientes com doenças fora de possibilidades terapêuticas, utilizando como estratégia a comunicação. O estudo tem como objetivo geral analisar a importância da comunicação como ferramenta no cuidado a pacientes terminais.

This paper discusses concepts of thermodilution and ejection fraction associated with a typical application of the Swan-Ganz catheter, with the presentation of two models: one for the measurement of cardiac output and another for the measurement of ejection fraction. This work was developed to answer if the response to the impulse of the Swan-Ganz catheter depends on the speed of the blood flow in the right ventricle of the heart.

Objetivo: Avaliar a qualidade da atenção aos contatos domiciliares de pessoas com hanseníase atendidos na atenção primária em capital hiperendêmica do nordeste brasileiro. Método: estudo avaliativo, transversal e quantitativo realizado com 291 profissionais da Estratégia de Saúde da Família em São Luís-Maranhão/Brasil.

Estudos relacionados a governança estão na agenda de vários pesquisadores no Brasil e no exterior. Pesquisadores de diferentes disciplinas têm dedicado seu tempo a explorar as mais variadas formas de governança. Apesar do termo ter sido bastante discutido, isso não significa que confusões relacionadas ao conceito sejam inexistentes. Pelo contrário, governança como centro de discussões teóricas e empíricas tem resultadoem confusões quanto aos seus significados e definições.

The purpose of this review was to relate functional aspects of the immune system to cancer and verify if the use of resveratrol may present any adjuvant strategy. The immune system protects the human body against aggressive agents and presents a complex and integrative form of action involving different immune cells. In the neoplastic context, conventional treatment by chemotherapy and radiotherapy generates many side effects.

Introdução: De acordo com Atlas da Violência de 2020,75,7 % das vítimas de homicídios no Brasil são negras.Na periferia dosEstados Brasileiros, a juventude pobre e negra é a principal vítima de homicídio.

Objective: The study was a literature review with data from different articles and a retrospective study that aimed to carry out an epidemiological survey of the number of pregnancies in the public health system that received or not the full prenatal care routine and analyze how this influenced the child’s motor development. Methods: The retrospective study was based on the evaluation of medical records of children from 0 to 2 years old from the public health system, analyzing their prenatal, birth and motor development information and verifying whether it is according to their age.
