Reduction of Water Usage for Irrigation of Lawn Trees and Bushes by 30% in the Sahara Region, Africa
Water scarcity and land degradation are serious challenges in the Sahara Region, requiring innovative solutions for sustainable and efficient water use. This research was conducted with the objectiveto achieve a 30% reduction in irrigation water usage for lawn trees and bushes by integrating advanced irrigation management tools. In this study, smart irrigation tackles that encompass the Internet of Things (IoT), water stabilizer formulations, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for precision monitoring and control of irrigation processes were used.
