Violência sexual é toda ação na qual um indivíduo em situação de poder obriga outro a realizar prática sexual contra a vontade. Sob aspecto jurídico, a manifestação mais grave de violência sexual é o estupro, que requer realização de exames periciais sexológicos. Trata-se de um estudo retrospectivo e transversal com consulta aos laudos periciais sexológicos de 2017 a 2020 registrados no Sistema de Gestão de Laudos (GDL) das Perícias Médico-Legais de Pernambuco. O total da amostra foi de 3.749 laudos.

O Acidente Vascular Cerebral Hemorrágico (AVCH) é a complicação mais grave e temida, sendo potencialmente fatal diante da anticoagulação plena. Pode ocorrer de modo espontâneo ou secundário ao trauma e sua incidência varia conforme características do paciente e da droga escolhida para anticoagulação. Objetivou-se relatar o caso de um paciente portadora de válvulas cardíacas mecânicas, que apresentou transtorno hemorrágico devido a anticoagulação.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a cardiac arrhythmia characterized by complete disorganization of the electrical activity and atrial contraction and also associated with the occurrence of cerebrovascular accident (CVA) due to thrombus formation. The present study characterized the epidemiological profile of AF patients in a private community cardiology clinic in São Bento do Sul (Santa Catarina state - Brazil). This is a retrospective study whose data were obtained from medical records for the organized preparation of the epidemiological and clinical profile of patients from 2007 to 2017.

In this article, the objective is to discuss, because of the pandemic resulting from the new Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and the axis was bibliographic research carried out in the field of Dentistry, the intensification of the use of antimalarial drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine and the consequences for the oral health of citizens. Mandibular fractures are relatively common in dogs, and damage to the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) can cause jaw immobility. A mixed breed dog with a history of escape and trauma of unknown origin and time of occurrence was treated at Animal Care Barueri Veterinary Clinic, in Barueri, São Paulo, due to which he returned home with lesions distributed throughout the body, mainly located in the face. The animal was sent for radiographs that showed a fracture in the mandibular symphysis, left mandibular ramus and bilateral mandibular coronoid processes.

Introduction: More than eighty percent of patients infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) will eventually develop ear nose and throat (ENT) manifestations, of which, 45% are associated with laryngeal symptoms. Objective: This study seeks to describe laryngeal symptoms and videolaryngoscopy findings in people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) treated in a tertiary public health unit in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil from March to May 2019.

Objetivo: avaliar os efeitos da fotobiomodulação e terapia fotodinâmica com azul de metileno em comparação ao hidrogel no processo de cicatrização de lesões crônicas hansênicas. Método: de intervenção com abordagem quantitativa. Desenvolvido em um centro de referência para hanseníase no município de Teresina. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre janeiro de 2020 a fevereiro de 2021. Os 10 participantes foram divididos em três grupos aleatoriamente.

The ease of implantation of autoclaving units for waste from health services, in relation to other thermal treatment technologies, results in a quantitative increase, to the detriment of the quality and safety of this technology and its environmental licensing. Objective: To analyze the conflicts between environmental licensing parameters and the introduction of new technologies, considering a Strategic Environmental Assessment and the individualization of processes.

Introduction: According to Ministry of Health reports produced between 2001 and 2002, the presence of Hexachlorocyclohexane isomers was detected in the blood serum of the population of Cidade dos Meninos. After two decades, there is still no definitive solution to the problem, about 2,000 people continue to live in the region, exposed to the toxic substances. The objective of this study is to analyze the environmental impact of contamination by Hexachlorocyclohexane, with emphasis on the health of the population of this region.

A revolução industrial e o crescimento populacional delinearam hábitos de produção e consumo que impulsionam cada vez mais a geração de resíduos sólidos urbanos. A gestão e o gerenciamento adequados desses resíduos são desafios complexos enfrentados pela imensa parcela dos municípios brasileiros. A cidade de Limeira do Oeste - MG não é uma exceção.
