Metabolic evaluation of the effects of a hyperlipid diet for obesity induction and standard normolipid diet (ain 93) consumption in wistar rats

Obesity is considered a multifactorial pathology that causes several metabolic changes. The objective is to evaluate the effects of the consumption of AIN-93 and high-fat (HF) diets on Wistar rats. We performed clinical, biochemical, histopathological, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) -based metabolomic analyses. Among the diets studied, the visceral fat and adiposity index of animals fed with the HF diet were higher than those of animals fed with the AIN diet, but there were no differences in body weight between groups.

Assessment of soil nutrient utilization for jasmine rice using geographic information systems in tung kula rong hai area

Tung Kula Rong Hai is mostly sandy soil, lack of plant nutrients, flooding in some areas, water shortage of the growing season, flooding end of season and rainless in dry season, soil is spreading salinity, farmers lack motivation to improve the soil and the use of technology to increase crop yields. As a result, some areas of Tung Kula Rong Hai used to grow rice have reduced yield problems and low quality rice makes the aroma decrease. This problem is due to the fact that available of soil nutrients have decreased, especially nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

Biodegradation of crude oil by bacteria isolated from crude oil contaminated soil – a review

Bioremediation of oil spills requires the identification of microbes which have the ability to degrade hydrocarbons present in the soil or water, so that in case of a large spill these can be stimulated further in order to clean-up the area. The world today is very much dependent on crude oil, either to fuel the vast majority of its mechanized transportation equipment or as the primary feedstock for many of the petrochemical industries.

Effect of substrate temperature on optical and electrical properties of CdZnSeTe thin films prepared by spray pyrolysis technique

Polycrystalline semiconducting chalcogenide thin films of CdZnSeTe are prepared on large area of glass substrate by spray pyrolysis technique. Thin films of CdZnSeTe deposited at different substrate temperatures 250°C, 275°C, 300°C and 325°C were investigated. Absorption coefficients for the films were evaluated from optical transmission spectra in the wavelength range 350nm-1100nm.Composition was confirmed from EDAX while SEM pictures shows the presence of nanotubes.
