Unit displacement ofsheep production in mexico by effect of imports

The aim of this study was to evaluate the displacement of Mexican sheep production units as a result of imports. The country as a whole was taken as the unit of analysis, the information is mainly obtained from SAGARPA and sectorial agencies, FAO, Ministry of Economy and the Bank of Mexico, the study was conducted from 1970 to 2011. Data was deflated with National Consumer Price Index for the second half of December 2010. The increases/decreases, average growth rate, inventory, production and imports were determined.

Influenced of different organic mulches in rainfed mulberry garden on micro arthropods population

The present study was conducted in department of sericulture, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. The main aim of the study is to know the effect of different organic sources on soil arthropods under rainfed condition. The treatment T6 recorded the maximum abundance of 14.67 arthropods per 400 gm of soil which was on par with T3 (13.67 arthropods/ 400 gm of soil). T5, T4 and T7 recorded on par results. T8 gave lower abundance of below ground arthropods with 5.67 arthropods per 400 gm of soil respectively.

Genetic polymorphism of Bulinus truncatus the intermediate host of Schistosoma haematobium in Egypt using issr markers

This study presents the first results about the genetic polymorphism and diversity among the five Egyptian Bulinus truncatus populations, Giza (GZ), Damietta (DM), Behera (BH), Fayoum (FY) and lab bred strain (LB), using the inter-simple sequence repeats PCR (ISSR-PCR). A total of 85 bands, unique, polymorphic and monomorphic were obtained using 10 ISSR primers. Out of them, 28 bands were polymorphic. Among B. truncatus populations, the highest polymorphism (57.1%) was revealed by the primer ISSR1, followed by that revealed by ISSR7 (40%).

Allelopathic effect of Croton bonplandianum bail. on growth and development of rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Aqueous plant extracts of Croton bonplandianum Bail. was evaluated  for their allelopathic effect on  growth and  developmental changes of two rice cultivars(BPT-5204 and IR-20). The plant extracts was applied at 5, 5, 10, 15,20 and 25% concentrations on the seeds of rice cultivars to understand the germination, growth and pigment changes by conducting pot culture experiments.

Effect of aflatoxin and toxin binders on the serum glucose level of breeding japanese quails, coturnix coturnix japonica

Mycotoxins play a global role in human and animal health. Molds in poultry feed are a source of significant economic loss to poultry producers. Molds adversely influence performance of animals by altering the nutrient composition of feed ingredients, decreasing the efficiency of nutrient utilization, and by producing toxic secondary metabolites.

Computer aided design (CAD) Technology versus students’ learning in architectural design pedagogy – a controversial topic review

Since the advancement of information technology and the development of computers in the 1960s, students’ approaches to design education have been affected greatly in recent years. The current situation of using Computer Aided Design (CAD) in architectural practices through the aid of computer systems for visualisation presentation, communication, and information processing purposes define the future of architectural education in universities and graduates employment opportunities into small to mid-sized companies.

The present study was carried out to investigate the phytochemical, in vitro antioxidant and antibacterial activity of seed of Tiliacora acuminata (Lan) Hook.F&Thomas an important medicinal plant. Qualitative phytochemical analysis of the methanol and ethanol extracts prepared from Tiliacora acuminata seed revealed the presence of alkaloid, catechin, coumarin, flavonoid, phenol, quinone, saponin, steroid, tannin, terpenoid, sugar, glycoside, xanthoprotein and fixed oil.

Demography and population dynamics of mountain nyala (Tragelaphus buxtoni) before its population crash in 1991 in the bale mountains national park, Ethiopia

This study was conducted to assess demography and dynamics of mountain nyala (Tragelaphus buxtoni) in relation to habitats/vegetation, slope, seasons, altitude. The data were collected in 1984 eight years before population crash of T. buxtoni in 1991 in Bale Mountains National Park. Sample total count method was used to survey the population in three sites where the species known to be abundant in the northern part of the Park.
