It is imperative to improve understanding of plastic losses throughout the plastics value chain and to develop appropriate strategies to mitigate the environmental impacts of plastics. To encourage the circularity of plastics, in this work composites based on virgin and recycled polypropylene and two types of natural fiber (coconut and sugarcane bagasse) with or without content of 10% by weight were prepared in a mono-screw extruder.

Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable neoplasm, being the second most common hematological cancer. It mainly affects the elderly and has a course of remissions and disease progression, leading the patient to numerous lines of treatment with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This evolution leads to several adverse effects with a consequent decrease in the quality of life of these patients. The care of patients with MM must take into account symptom relief, multiprofessional care, preventing uncertainties, through sharing decisions, meeting their needs.

Este trabalho discorre sobre relatos de experiências vivenciados em um estágio supervisionado I, obrigatório do curso de Licenciatura em Computação, do Centro de Estudos Superiores de Itacoatiara – CESIT, da Universidade do Estado do Amazonas – UEA, realizado em uma escola de ensino fundamental no município de Itacoatiara - Amazonas. Possui uma natureza qualitativa, apresentando como procedimentos metodológicos, como visitas à escola com objetivo de observar as aulas, o ambiente e estrutura escolar.

Considering the fourth industrial revolution underway in the first quarter of this century, with industry 4.0 and all related technologies as its main brand, its implementation is seen as a matter of maintaining the competitiveness and survival of manufacturing companies, becoming government, academia, and entrepreneurs’ goals. Understanding Industry 4.0 maturity is the first step in developing strategies for industrial digitalization.

O presente artigo investigou os dilemas do Covarde (Chicken Dilemma), do prisioneiro e da confiança, aplicado a negociações de gerenciamento de projetos brasileiras. Após criteriosa e extensa análise de conteúdo da epistemologia sobre Teoria dos Jogos, observamos um sequenciamento dos dilemas no processo de negociação múltipla, em alguns dos casos. Os resultados sugerem que a evolução da cooperação em negociações é possível em interações que perfazem jogos repetidos.

The present work aimed to characterize mangrove-derived actinomycetes strains isolated from São João de Pirabas mangrove in Pará State of Brazil and evaluate their antimicrobial action against clinical importance bacteria. Sixteen isolated actinomycetes strains were evaluated by their morphology and biochemical features and antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella sp. and Enterococcus faecalis.

In the present work was investigated nanoscale tribo-mechanical properties of martensitic stainless steel (AISI 420) subjected to nitriding by glow discharge (DL). Martensitic steels have been previously heat-treated in 1025 °C with subsequent rapid cooling in oil. The samples have been nitrided using the following parameters of temperature (°C) – time (h): 350/6, 400/6 e 450/6. The treatments were held in atmospheres of N2/H2 in the proportions of 20%-80% (in volume).

The pandemic of COVID-19 began in May 2020, as declared worldwide by the World Health Organization (WHO), with approximately 589,680,368 cases and 6,436,519 deaths from the disease being confirmed by the year 2022. In Amazon, up to August 14, 2022, 14,249 Covid-19 deaths have been recorded, 342 this year alone. This is an epidemiological study of a quantitative nature, in the application of mathematical models for event prediction and management in health services.

The Pereskiaacuelata plant has high nutritional value in its leaves, being rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals. The present work had as objetive develop a cereal bar containing the Pereskiaacuelata plant. The leaves of P. aculeata were dried and crushed in a knife mill and then the powder obtained from the plant was used in the preparation of the cereal bar, along with oat bran, rice flakes, sucrose syrup and honey.

As unidades de conservação têm como principal função a conservação da biodiversidade, atuando como barreira para conter a degradação ambiental, entretanto, para que as unidades possam ser totalmente protegidas, é necessário o controle das atividades realizadas no entorno, a fim de evitar que impactos negativos atinjam a unidade. Portanto, o objetivo do trabalho foi realizar análise temporal do uso e ocupação do solo na zona de amortecimento da Reserva Biológica do Jaru, Rondônia.
