O Diabetes Mellitus (DM) faz parte das doenças metabólicas de múltiplas etiologias que, diante do aumento de sua prevalência, tem sido tratada nos últimos anos como um problema de saúde pública global. Destaca-se, a importância de avaliar dados de internação e mortalidade, pois tal análise pode subsidiar a proposição de estratégias de prevenção e controle deste agravo, bem como as ações realizadas pelos gestores e profissionais de serviços de saúde.

Justification and Objectives: Despite the strong evidence, several institutions and services still apply old concepts about preoperative fasting, subjecting patients to prolonged periods of fasting. Thus, in conducting this work, we aim to understand the main obstacles to the abbreviation of preoperative fasting.

O presente artigo tem como tema a cidade, os problemas urbanos e a forma como estes temas são trabalhados em sala de aula na disciplina Geografia. O problema dessa pesquisa foi verificar como a cidade do aluno e seus problemas são considerados nas aulas de Geografia no campus Teresina Central do Instituto Federal do Piauí. Tendo como objetivo geral identificar de que forma os conteúdos sobre a cidade do aluno são considerados em sala de aula.

The study will investigate to find out the effect of Computer Numerical Control machine on student achievement in Mechanical Engineering programmed in all state and federal Polytechnics in Adamawa, Taraba and Gombe State, four research questions in line with the purpose of the study will be formulated for the study. Four hypotheses will be formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance study will be made. The study will be conducted using quasi–experimental design. Specifically, the pre - test post – test non-equivalent control group design.

This paper presents an analysis of the vulnerability as selection criteria for entrepreneurship incubation process. It is a study case by Ativa Business Incubator at the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso – IFMT in Brazil. Many businesses in Brazil face serious problems in the two first years of operation because of a leak of entrepreneurship education. This situation leads entrepreneurs to vulnerable situations in their business. To help them overcome this situation, we at Ativa Business Incubation offer the business incubation process.

Atraumatic restorative treatment (ART) is a form of treatment that uses glass ionomer cement as a restorative material and manual cutting instruments. The objective of this in vitro study was to verify the behavior of the glass ionomeras a function of the exposure to the following solutions: saliva, milk, cola-flavored soda, orange juice and cupuaçu((Theobromagrandiflorum) juice. A total of 75 samples were produced usingKetacTM Molar Easymix, Magic Glass and ChemflexTM, which then were stored for 24 h in an oven at 37 oC.

Objective: To describe the experiences of women with mastectomies, undergoing chemotherapy, in relation to sexuality. Method: Descriptive study with a qualitative approach, carried out with eighteen women, in an outpatient chemotherapy service, of a regional hospital, located in the interior of Minas Gerais. For data collection, semi-structured individual interviews were used, from August to September 2020. Data analyzed according to the technique of content analysis. Research project approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the State University of Minas Gerais, under number 4,181,540.

A Systemic Arterial Hypertension is understood as one of the major public health problems in the world and in Brazil. Thus, Quilombola Communities are a minority, consequently they develop diseases, with arterial hypertension being the most frequent. To identify systemic arterial hypertension and risk factors in quilombolas in Maranhão, Brazil. Cross-sectional study, using instruments adapted to the National Health Survey and the Surveillance of Risk and Protection Factors for Chronic Diseases Survey and the significance of 5%. 177 quilombolas participated, of which 55.9% were women.

A responsabilidade civil médica é tema que sempre levanta debates na doutrina e jurisprudência. Um dos pontos de debate está na forma da responsabilidade civil, tendendo a posição majoritária para a responsabilidade subjetiva, dependente da prova de culpa, e como atividade de meio, salvante nas situações de cirurgia estética embelezadora, cuja atividade ainda é considerada de resultado. Ainda no campo da estética, está cada vez mais comum a ideia de tratamentos médicos hormonais para fins de se alcançar o corpo perfeito.

This work’s main objective was the manufacture of an aluminum alloy AA3303 by powder metallurgy technique and its characterization. The powders were processed by high energy ball milling (HEBM) for 30, 60 and 120 minutes and then characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), dispersive energy spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and finally, Laser Diffraction granulometry. After the characterization of the powders, they were consolidated by cold uniaxial compaction, followed by hot extrusion.
