Grinding method has a restricted use in the production of machine parts due to its long-processing time, high cost, and environmentally pollutant coolant liquid. The production of hardened materials via turning is an alternative to grinding operation. The generation by turning with little or no use of coolant liquid of surface properties similar to those obtained by grinding process decreases production time and cost.

This study investigated the relationship between social skills (SS) and psychological well-being (PWB) among dorm-dwelling university students at a public University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 50 students at two time points: a) when they moved into the dorm; and b) after living there six months. Participants completed the Social Skills Inventory and Psychological Well-being Scale. Analyses revealed the PWB scores declined over time (t (49) = 2.504, p<0.05).

Les effets du changement climatique combinés avec la diminution des surfaces de pâturage impactent sur la biodiversité végétale. De ce fait, une bonne gestion des parcours est nécessaire pour une amélioration de l’alimentation du bétail. Dans cette mouvance une étude a été menée au niveau des parcours de la zone d’emprise du CRZ de Kolda en 2018 dans le but de les caractériser (diversité floristique et biomasse) et de connaitre l’influence pédologique sur la strate herbacée. L’inventaire floristique a été réalisé par la méthode d’échantillonnage aléatoire sur des surfaces de 1m2.

O consumidor do turismo no espaço rural busca aproximação com ambientes naturais e com a ruralidade e, em muitos casos, a atividade turística é desenvolvida por propriedades de agricultura familiar. Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar o potencial da agroindústria familiar enquanto fator do desenvolvimento rural sustentável no município de Cascavel/PR. Como metodologia, trata-se de um estudo de revisão bibliográfica, buscando dados em pesquisas, livros e conteúdos similares ao tema com o intuito de investigar as potencialidades do município.

The present work has the purpose of analyzing the multiparentability within the national legal system, its evolution with the promulgation of the Federal Constitution of 1988 and the effects of the Judgment of the Federal Supreme Court, R.E. Natural calamities like Earthquakes, Tsunami and man-made disasters bomb explosion, building collapse often occur and they cannot be stopped. Humans are getting increased knowledge in the concept of intelligent rescue operations in such calamities so as to save precious life and material, however calamities cannot be stopped. Still there are many natural and man-made disasters that occur all of a sudden. They produce a devastating effect and find no difference among human and material. Therefore many a time’s humans are buried among the detritus and it becomes impossible to detect them.

The goal of this article is to identify the factors that make up the sugar production scenario in order to understand what are determinants for decision making and the composition of a Strategic Planning. For this purpose, the directors of 14 (fourteen) mills in Paraná associated to ALCOPAR - Association of Alcohol and Sugar Producers of the State of Paraná were consulted, with the return of 4 (four) mills. The factors were prioritized and correlated according to the viewpoint of the leaders. The prioritization matrix was adopted, a tool used in the S.O.W.T. analysis.

The flooding of hydromorphic soils results in significant losses of crop productivity every year, especially in tomato. It is believed that the expression of heats hock proteins, especially sHSPs, play an important role in tolerance to multiple environmental stresses, and may alleviate the damages resulting from the low concentration of oxygen from flooding.

Este estudo teve como objetivo verificar os fatores de falha no desmame intermitente da ventilação mecânica (VM) em pacientes com trauma raquimedular (TRM) a nível cervical, através da avaliação da eficácia de um protocolo de desmame intermitente da VM em pacientes com TRM cervical. O estudo foi realizado através de fichas de monitorização dos anos de 2016 a 2019, sendo incluídas no estudo vinte e nove fichas de pacientes que realizaram o protocolo de desmame intermitente da VM.

Objetivo: descrever a ocorrência da Sífilis Gestacional no estado da Paraíba, considerando-se o perfil epidemiológico das mães e dos casos notificados. Método: trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico descritivo com abordagem quantitativa, realizada com dados do Departamento de Informação do Sistema Único de Saúde, na base de dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação. A análise dos dados se deu por meio de estatística descritiva.
