Construction industry operates in a very dynamic environment where demand changes from project to project, making the management of this diverse work force more difficult. The industry’s project based structure comprises of diverse range of people from a wide range of occupational cultures and backgrounds, including people in unskilled, craft, managerial, professional and administrative positions. Thus the construction company needs coordination amongst these diverse set of employees, contractors and suppliers to attain the project objectives.

Human relations practices and performance of elementary school principals in region iii, Philipines

The study aimed to determine the human relations practices of elementary school principals in selected schools in Region III. It focused on the level of performance of school principals and the human relations practices with regards to administrator’s role. The study made use of the descriptive method involving twenty- two (22) school principals and one hundred ninety -seven (197) school teachers. In the statistical data analysis, the Percentage, average weighted mean, T-Test and Analysis of Variance were used.

However, mangrove ecosystems are very sensitive and fragile. In recent years, the pressures of increasing population, and the resulting expansion of agricultural land and industrial and urban development, have caused a significant proportion of the world’s mangrove resource to be destroyed.

A preliminary survey of pollens in the atmosphere of Khaparkheda Dist. Nagpur (m.S.) India

Atmosphere is composed of both biotic and abiotic components. Among biotic components pollen and fungal spores contribute major amount of aerospora. Release of such components in the environment is depends upon seasonal variation. Present study deals with the study of concentration of pollens present in the atmosphere. Pollen represent the smallest reproductive structure produce in the anthers and at maturity transferred to female part by wind, water, insect, birds etc.

Understanding the extent of community involvement in educational projects in Zanzibar, Tanzania

Most of the projects initiated to solve community problems are reported to have been less sustainable and therefore fail to achieve community goals. Community involvement in project activities is seen to be one of the factors for project sustainability but it has not been considered in various project management phases. This study aimed at assessing the extent of community participation in educational projects in Zanzibar. Partnership model by Narayana (2002) was used in guiding this study. Cross-sectional design and mixed approach were employed.

Refugee mobility, globalization and economic development

The article aim is to prove that Borjas (2016) estimation of migration rate close to 1 if labor mobility between the North and the South is fully allowed, matches with refugee mobility crisis faced by Western countries actually. An endogenous growth model with probability of migration is used to conduct the study. We find that, migration theories move toward a new paradigm based on refugee mobility crisis explanation in the economic literature.

Factoring the mass media into the protection of human rights in the Niger delta region

Despite subscribing to international laws on the protection of human rights, Nigeria still has poor record of human rights, with abuses and violations recorded almost daily. The Niger Delta region of the country is not spared, as, it has for some years been site for major confrontations between the people and the government, leading to the death of many, arbitrary detentions and restrictions on the rights to freedom of expression, association and assembly. The end to human rights abuses in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria appears not in sight.

Diet and nutritional status of female farm labouors

Corruption Diet and nutritional status of 500 female farm labouors (250 urban slum and 250 rural) were assessed by anthropometry, diet and nutrient intake. Diet survey was carried out by using 24 hours recall method. The findings of the study shows that height and weight from both the areas and age group were ranged between 150.38 + 5.26 to 151.85 + 6.08 cm and 47.10 + 8.37 to 51.36+ 9.19 kg and they were little bit lesser than NCHS standards while BMI (20.14 +3.24 to 22.76 + 3.99kg/m2) and WHR (0.83 + 0.09 to 0.86 + 0.06) were in line with NCHS standards.
