The effects of indigenized teaching and microsoft excel worksheet material on students achievement levels in statistics and their resulting attitudes

On this modern era, teachers must consider instructional materials that would be used in teaching. One possible factor that hinders performance improvement is the type of material utilized by the learners. This study aims to observe the effects of the Indigenized teaching and Microsoft – Excel Worksheet as teaching material in Statistics on the performance of the students’. The study carried out using pretest-post-test control group; single blind experimental research design. One College of Teacher Education class divided into two groups was used in this study.

Photocatalytic degradation of erythrosin b under visible light using n-doped zno

The present study deals with the study of photocatalytic degradation of Erythrosin B under visible light in the presence of N-doped ZnO as a photocatalyst. N-doped ZnO was prepared by the solvent free method. The photocatalytic activity of ZnO and N-doped ZnO was compared by investigating the photodegradation of Erythrosin B dye under visible light. The effect of different parameters like pH, concentration of the Dye, amount of N-doped ZnO and light intensity on the rate of degradation was also studied.

State-based approach of sugar boiling process automation in batch vacuum pan

In this paper, state base approach for implementation and design of A grade batch vacuum pan is proposed. Nexgenie NG16-ADL Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is used to control the first batch vacuum pan. This design helps to improve operators’ interaction and with less intervention with ease. This system designed for auto mode and manual mode in order to have better control over the system. This enhances the good grain size development for the centrifugal process. The operator on the pan floor can readily take readings and control the process environment using this system in real time.

New economical construction material panels for reduction of noise level in small industries

Today there is large growth in industrialization; therefore industrial noise has become a big environmental Problem. The noise that is generated by machines in industries is termed as industrial noise. This noise interferes with communication between supervisors and staff. Continuous exposure to noise can cause fatigue, which often results in accidents and reduces the pace and quality of work. Noise affects negatively on the day today life of surrounding people, who have faced with many problems mentally and physically.

A highly active catalyst rh/5a for preferential co oxidation in h2- rich gas

A series of 5A-zeolite supported Rh catalysts were prepared using conventional impregnation method and their catalytic performances for CO preferential oxidation (PROX) in the presence of H2-rich steam were investigate extensively. The effects of calcination temperature, Rh loading amount and the existence of moisture have been studied in detail. 1.2Rh/5A catalyst calcined at 400 oC showed an attractive catalytic performance, CO can be completely converted at 110oC with a high selectivity of 70%.

Real data application and analysis for evaluating several sub-models of generalized jelinski-moranda formula

The generalized Jelinski-Moranda (GJ-M) model were suggested by Al turk and Alsolami [1]  to offer several sub-models with different failurerate behaviour that can suit more different software development projects. The effectiveness of our suggestedgeneral formula is checked through a simulation study (see; Al turk and Alsolami [2]). In this paper the GJ-M model will be checked subjectively and objectively through fiveactual software reliability data. Three methods of estimation and four evaluation criteria will be used in our application.

Openness as a dimension of personality among monozygotic twins

Personality has given us a useful set of very broad dimensions that characterize individual differences in personality structure. This study assessed cultural influences on the openness component of the personality. A pair of 90 twins in the age group of 3-6 years from five cultural zones of state Haryana was taken. The data were analyzed for openness culture wise and yield new insight into the trait. The results revealed that there was a significant cultural difference in openness trait of personality in monozygotic twins.

Changes in knowledge and attitude in management of initial dental trauma

Purpose: To evaluate the changes in knowledge and attitude of school teachers regarding Traumatic Dental Injuries (TDIs) following oral health education on initial dental trauma, in Sundernagar city of Himachal Pradesh. Methods: The study was based on a pre and post evaluation questionnaire with relevant questions to evaluate the level of knowledge and attitude of school teachers about initial dental trauma management at baseline and six months after the implementation of the programme. Associations were assessed using Chi square test.

Antioxidant enriched mounting media – a remedy for fading problem of haematoxylin and eosin stained histology slides’

Histology teaching and research depend on the quality of haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stained sections. Over a period, slides fade and become uninterpretable even with good attempts for preservation. One of the principal causes of fading of H&E stained slides is the quality of the mounting media (DPX). Earlier studies have suggested the use of mounting media with added antioxidants to prevent fading in fluorescent staining. For the preservation of H&E stained sections, we utilised antioxidant (1% butylhydroxytoluene) enriched mounting media.
