As environmental changes increase, man is looking for ways to reduce this environmental impact through sustainable practices. There are several factors and justifications that demonstrate the importance of sustainable use in civil construction. Therefore, the objective of this study is to report on construction methods in Brazil, comparatively evaluating their advantages, disadvantages and the sustainability of their application.

Prevalence of low handgrip strength in latin american older adults: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aims to estimate the prevalence of low handgrip strength (HGS) among community-dwelling older adults in Latin America. Methods: PubMed, Lilacs, Embase, and Scielo were searched. Two researchers independently selected the studies, extracted data, and performed a risk of bias analysis. The prevalence of low HGS was estimated using a random-effects meta-analytic model. Subgroup analysis was also performed. Results: The summary measure (53 records) of the prevalence of low HGS was 33.0% (95%CI: 29.0-36.0%).

Objetivo: Identificar na literatura científica os agentes desinfetantes e a concentração utilizada para desinfecção, além de pesquisar os efeitos desses agentes sobre as propriedades físico mecânicas do gesso tipo IV.

Prevalence and health promotion actions related to hyposalivation and mouth discomfort in a nursing homesfor elders

Objectiveto verify the prevalence of hyposalivation inan institutionalized elder population and its relationship with oral discomfort. A cross-sectional study was conducted with older people living in a Nursing Homein Fortaleza-Brazil. Data collection occurred through the application of sociodemographic questionnaire; sialometry examination, test for evaluating the salivary flow speed; and by a subjective quantification of dry mouth intensity (Visual Analog Scale).

Percepção dos profissionais da atenção primária à saúde sobre o atendimento em saúde mental

O presente artigo tevepor objetivo compreender a percepção dos profissionais de saúde de nível superior que atuam na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS) quanto aos atendimentos em saúde mental. Trata-se de uma pesquisa com abordagem qualitativa, exploratória, transversal e cartográfica, em que participaram 20 profissionais, dentre eles médicos, enfermeiros e dentistas. A coleta de dados foi realizada através de entrevistas individuais, com amostragem aleatória de profissionais lotados em unidades de Estratégia Saúde da Família (ESF).

Evidence of the performance of physiotherapy in covid19 in the emergency room: an integrative review

The first records of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Virus (SARS-COV-2), known worldwide as Covid-19 occurred in the city of Wuhan, China, in December 2018 and in February 2020 the first case was registered in Brazil, in the city from Sao Paulo. On March 11, 2020, WHO characterized Covid-19 as a pandemic, due to its rapid proliferation throughout the world and its high transmissibility, and currently has a high number of deaths.

Exergoeconomic analysis of a municipal solid waste fired power plant with biological filters for emissions

In the last few decades, the energy demand has vastly increased, and the generation of municipal solid wastes (MSW) in the cities represents extraordinary challenges for sustainable economic growth. Aiming to mitigate these problems, this work verifies an MSW fired power plant's technical and economic viability that uses biological filters for carbon dioxide fixation and microalgae biomass production.

Changing profile of the South Gujarat Tribal Villages

This study takes off from the previous studies conducted in 1987 and 2005 by different Institutes, reporting the prevailing situation in the South Gujarat region, consisting of Vansada, Dharampur, and Kaprada. It finds that there has indeed been a sustaining change in the region – it has freed itself from many characteristics of a backward region like hunger, stress migration, illiteracy and such. The authors feel that most of the economic changes happened because of the development of some sources of irrigation that enabled the villagers to take two crops a year.
