A Terapia Fotodinâmica (TFD) é uma técnica auxiliar ao tratamento endodôntico convencional que vislumbra a diminuição de microrganismos dentro do sistema de canais. Esta terapia consiste na utilização de um corante e de um laser de baixa potência, e devido a sua natureza não tóxica e sua capacidade de acesso aos canais acessórios tem se mostrado uma técnica subsidiária eficaz. Com isto, esse trabalho visa analisar através de uma revisão integrativa da literatura a efetividade do uso da terapia fotodinâmica em associação ao tratamento endodôntico convencional.

Propolis is used to treat a variety of ailments, including ulcer and wound healing. The phytochemical tracking of Brazilian propolis indicates the presence of flavonoids, biologically active ingredients. In the present study, we sought to evaluate the potential antimicrobial effect of Brazilian propolis on chronic wounds in humans, in an experimental study.

Introdução: O posicionamento inadequado por tempo prolongado associado a um quadro de hipotonia global do recém-nascido prematuro e a ação da gravidade contribuem para anormalidades posturais e alterações da mecânica respiratória. The present work describes the phytochemical prospection and biological activity of the leaves of Curatella americana L., also known as “Caimbé”, belonging to the family Dilleniaceae. The necessary botanical material was obtained in the municipality of Boa Vista, state of Roraima. This species has a wide distribution throughout the intertropical belt, and can be found throughout the belt from Australia to South America. The extract was obtained from dried and pulverized material. The toxic activity against the microcrustacean Artemia salina was then determined.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease involving the exacerbated production of keratinocytes in the affected areas, in response to the activation of the immune system. Some neurotransmitter channels are involved in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and may act as a trigger for the pathology. This article aims to demonstrate the use of Botulinum Toxin A as a substance capable of interfering in the immunopathogenesis of the disease.A bibliographic review was carried out using articles indexed in the MEDLINE AND LILACS platforms, in both English and Portuguese.
