Introduction: [...] Disabilities after a stroke can influence the quality of life of these individuals, such as impaired motor functions, limited activities of daily living, possible presence of cognitive and language deficits, depression and restrictions on social interaction (MOREIRA et al., 2015). Materials and methods: This is a descriptive-exploratory research, with a quantitative approach, the research was carried out at the Physical Rehabilitation Center Sinha Castelo located in the city of Caxias-MA.

With the change in the way of life of society, each day the interaction of dogs and cats with human beings increases more. There are several types of guardians, including smokers, cigarette smoke is considered one of the biggest causes of domestic pollution, so these animals become passive smokers. Thus, it is very important to double the care with the animal's health. Thus, this study seeks to show, through radiographic examination, which pulmonary alterations dogs and cats develop as passive smokers.

Hirschsprung disease (HD) is a congenital disease caused by the absence of ganglion cells in the large intestine leading to functional obstruction and colonic dilatation. This work focuses on showing the scientific evidence on the evaluation of two diagnostic techniques of rectal biopsy and compares the advantages and disadvantages of each. Bibliographic research was performed using Scielo, Medline, and academic Google, related to Hirschsprung disease, Immunohistochemistry Calretinin (IHC), and Histochemistry Acetylcholinesterase.

O abuso de álcool entre os estudantes de medicina é um assunto de grande importância para a sociedade, pois pode gerar diversos problemas sociais, educacionais e de saúde pública. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar o consumo de álcool entre 111 estudantes de medicina da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, campus Cajazeiras. Trata-se de um estudo transversal, descritivo e analítico, de abordagem quantitativa, realizado de setembro a dezembro de 2019.

Introduction: Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer worldwide, with an increasing number of cases and diagnoses in advanced stages of the disease, leading to a significant increase in mortality in affected individuals. The identification of the regional epidemiological profile enables actions with a positive impact on the population and adherence to screening campaigns, reducing the deleterious impact of the disease. Parasitic diseases are serious public health problems mainly due to the lack of basic sanitation and educational prevention campaigns. Intestinal parasites are among the most frequently found pathogens in humans and cause diseases that can manifest in different ways and even lead to sepsis in immunosuppressed patients. This study assesses the prevalence of intestinal parasites in the population of a city in the interior of Brazil. A total of 428 results of coproparasitological examinations were analyzed during four months and an educational intervention was carried out.

Objective: to analyze the prevalence and accuracy of the elements of the Nursing Diagnosis of Excess Fluid Volume (00026) in chronic hemodialysis patients. Data collection: cross-sectional study with 127 patients. Data were collected by trained nurses, using an instrument containing sociodemographic variables, antecedent and consequent factors for the occurrence of the event. For analyzing accuracy measures, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were calculated. Synthesis of data: 79.5% of the sample presented the referred diagnosis.

Objetivo: Descrever a prevalência da síndrome de Burnout e o perfil dos profissionais de enfermagem que atuam na linha de frente no combate à Covid-19. Materiais e Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo transversal e descritivo. A população do presente estudo foi composta por 66 profissionais da área de enfermagem de cidades do Norte de Minas Gerais/Brasil. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir de questionários em formato de documentos do Google, disponibilizados através de redes sociais.

Esta pesquisa objetivou compreender as interações sociais estabelecidas por homens alcoolistas no contexto familiar e comunitário, considerando a perspectiva de gênero. Trata-se de um estudo fundamentado na História Oral de Vida com seis homens alcoolistas, no interior da Bahia, Brasil. As lembranças, captadas por entrevista gravada e transcrita, compuseram o corpus de análise. As recordações dos homens produziram duas categorias temáticas:Interações sociais de homens alcoolistas no contexto familiar e Interações sociais de homens alcoolistas no contexto comunitário.
