Science diplomacy and sdg 17, analysis of sustainable development in Latin America

The implementation of new strategies for sustainable adaptation is considered a global challenge, markedly in developing countries across the globe. The past decade has witnessed the urgency of taking action to find solutions to the most pressing challenges of globalization; climate change, public health, economic growth, access to basic services and equity of opportunities. To develop implementable solutions in Latin America, it is necessary to analyze the progress in the last decade in the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 17 and Scientific Diplomacy.

The impact of logical reasoning games in the fight against childhoodhood obesity: evaluation of a post-intervention follow-up study

Follow-up studies are needed to evaluate the results obtained after an intervention. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of an intervention with logical reasoning games on sedentary lifestyles and childhood obesity, six months after its completion. This is an interdisciplinary, retrospective, longitudinal, applied, exploratory research involving schoolchildren. The variable studied was the level of physical activity (PA) using as instrument the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C).

Yield and survival rate of ‘gigante’ cactus pear under regulated deficit irrigation using wastewater

This study aimed to evaluate the yield and survival rate of 'Gigante' cactus pear (Opuntia fícus indica) cultivated with regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) using wastewater under semiarid soil and climatic conditions. The experiment was carried out between October 2015 and August 2017 at Instituto Federal Baiano, campus Guanambi, Brazil.

Seasonal assessment of the bacteriological contamination of the water of the kodjoboué lagoon (South-East Bonoua, Côte d'Ivoire)

This study carried out on the Kodjoboué lagoon during the seasons was aimed at highlighting the bacteriological quality of this water which is the site of several activities such as fishing, navigation, swimming, etc. It was carried out in the lagoon season during the months of March, August and November 2017.

Spatial distribution of dental fluorosis among preschool children from Public Schools in Alfenas, Southwest Region, Brazil

Dental fluorosis is a common developmental dental alteration and highly prevalent in many Brazilian cities. The aim of the present study was to investigate the spatial distribution of dental fluorosis among schoolchildren in the city of Alfenas,Southwest Region, Brazil. The study included schoolchildren of both genders, age ranging between 8 and 11 years, enrolled in 4 public schools in the city. The children’s examination and data collection were performed by a dentist and dental fluorosis was assessed using the Dean index.

Maturidade de tecnologias desenvolvidas no laboratório de filmes Poliméricos e Nanotecnologia, da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia

O Laboratório de Filmes Poliméricos e Nanotecnologia (LAFIP-NANOTEC) é um laboratório de pesquisa vinculado ao Instituto de Química da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), cujo foco é a realização de estudos direcionados à produção de filmes poliméricos, com aplicações nas áreas de biossensores. Biossensores são dispositivos utilizados para detecção e quantificação de compostos de interesse, aplicáveis a áreas como saúde, alimentos e monitoramento ambiental.

As transformações tecnológicas se verificam com maior notoriedade nos processos que envolvem o emprego da automação e de tecnologias digitais, fato que tem levado os governos a elaborar pesquisas com o objetivo de identificar a emergência e a tipologia das tecnologias, bem como investigar os aspectos biomédicos e custos sociais, em uma tentativa de melhorar o entendimento e buscar soluções para os problemas relativos dasaúde das populações.

No Brasil, além desse cenário, várias mudanças legislativas na área trabalhista ocorreram, com forte reflexo na atuação sindical, e, consequentemente, nessa quarta revolução.

Health access of cape verdeans in lisbon-Portugal

Social exclusion and inequalities have been discussed for years. Human migration occurs because people seek advanced and structured societies in technologies. Fact due to inequalities in economic development between countries. Among social inequalities, we have health access. Ageing grows in different parts of the world, and it implies increasing public health expenditures. This article seeks to understand the relationship between immigration, health and aging of Cape Verdean elderly residents in Lisbon-Portugal.

Teaching (and the place) of/art in the context of professional education

Historically, the teaching of art was aimed only at the Brazilian elite and later began to be incorporated in the field of professional education in order to provide the less favored classes with skills and skills related to the world of work, especially in the industrial segment. This scientific article seeks to perform a clear and objective analysis of the teaching of art in the context of professional education nowadays from this historical reflection, generating an understanding about the place occupied by the arts in the formation of the individual for life and for the world of work.
