Effect Of Yoga Therapy On Vasomotor Symptoms Among Menopausal Women Residing In Selected Villages At Namakkal District

Menopause is one of the women’s most important life stages. Objectives: To assess the effectiveness of Yoga therapy on Vasomotor symptoms among menopausal women. Materials and Methods: A True experimental research where pre and post test with control group design. Samples: Menopausal women with menopausal symptoms at Namakkal (Dt). Multistage sampling technique was used to select the sample. MRS (Menopause Rating Scale) was used to assess the level of menopausal symptoms.

Effect of irrigation intervals on charcoal rot of sunflower

The experiment was conducted to observe the effect of irrigation intervals on diseases severity of charcoal rot and its consequence on growth and yield parameters of sunflower during spring season, 2015. The seeds of HO-1 sunflower variety were sown in a filed with no prior history of Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi) presence. A 5mm diameter plug of virulent MPS16 isolate was inoculated on a stem of sunflower plant at 10 cm from soil surface when plant age was 40days. Four irrigations intervals set as treatments and equally applied in inoculated and un-inoculated plots.

The floristic diversity and the carbon stock evaluation in on some peripheries sites of the douala-edea wildlife reserve in Cameroon

The study carried out in three of the 61 villages of the reserve during the period of December 2014 to April 2015 with the objective of evaluating floristic diversity and carbon stock in these three villages. 60 transects, each of 250 m length and 20 m wide, for total area of 30 ha was used to evaluate the carbon stock. The chosen carbon reserve was the epigeneous carbon and the non-destructive method through the allometric equations based on the dendrometric measurements were used. The amount of atmospheric CO2 absorbed by forest was obtained by multiplying carbon stocks by 3.67.

Objective: The objective of this study was to analyze the lifestyle and its relationship with demographic characteristics, risk behaviors and health conditions in university students of the Physical Education course of the Faculty of Technology and Sciences of Vitória da Conquista - BA. Methods: Epidemiological, transversal and observational study, with field research procedure. The data were collected by means of a questionnaire and soon afterwards an anthropometric evaluation was carried out, with the aid of a stadiometer, an anthropometric test and a balance.

Fish diversity and physicochemical parameters in tiger point water fall of mainpat hill, in Surguja District, Chhattisgarh, India

The present investigation has been made to investigate the physicochemical condition and fish diversity of Tiger point water fall of Mainpat hill from January to December 2017 During the entire study period total 18 fish species belonging 5 families and 14 Genera were recorded, Cyprinidae was the largest dominant family contributing 12 species.

Isolation and identification of bacterial population from various soil samples

The soil is one of the main reservoirs of microbial life. Typical garden soil has millions of bacteria in each gram. The most numerous microbes in soil are bacteria. Soil bacteria include aerobes and anaerobes with a wide range of nutritional requirements, from photoautotrophs to chemoheterotrophs. As usable nutrients and suitable environmental conditions (such as light, aeration, temperature) become available, the microbial populations and their metabolic activity rapidly increase until the nutrients are depleted or physical conditions change, and then they return to lower levels.

Impact of haemorrhagic gastroenteritis on canine total leucocyte count and differential leucocyte count

Haemorrhagic gastroenteritis (HGE) is caused by viruses, bacteria, endo-parasites and even by food allergy as well as irritant drugs. Clinical signs include fever, vomiting and severe bloody and foetid diarrhoea with marked dehydration. Present study was conducted to evaluate alterations in total leucocyte count (TLC) and differential leucocyte count (DC) in twenty six dogs, out of which thirteen dogs were naturally infected with haemorrhagic gastroenteritis and the rest were treated as control.
