The growth of e-commerce in international trade and its possible effects on the sustainable development

Electronic commerce or e-commerce promises to be an exciting and innovative change to the way that trade is currently conducted. The methods of doing business are changing rapidly and the amount of business conducted on the internet is growing and will continue to flourish. E-commerce represents both an opportunity and a threat to international trade and the environment. Currently, there is no substantial data to support either position. In addition, there are no policies or regulations that are specifically designed for environmental issues in e-commerce.

Performance of nitrogen and zinc levels on growth, yield, quality and economics of fodder pearl millet under dry land condition

A field experiment entitled "Performance of nitrogen and zinc levels on growth, yield, quality and economics of fodder pearl millet under Dry land condition” was conducted during kharif season of 2015-16 at the farm Of Agronomy in Bhagwant University, Ajmer (Rajasthan). The soil of experimental plot was sandy loam in texture, slightly alkaline in reaction, low in organic carbon and in available nitrogen and low in available phosphorus but having fairly rich status of available potassium.

Studies on variabilty, heritabilty and genetic advance in dahlia (dahlia variabilis L.) genotypes under hill zone of Karnataka

Twenty five genotypes of dahlia were used to study the genetic variability, heritability, genetic advance and correlation for growth and yield contributing characters under Mudigere condition. Significant variations were observed for all twenty different characters studied.  The study indicated that the moderate to high genotypic coefficient of variation (GCV) and phenotypic coefficient of variation (PCV) were observed for all the characters (more than 20 % value for both GCV and PCV).

Factors enhancing smallholders farmers` access to masara n’arziki project in the northern region of Ghana

Farmers in Savelugu-Nanton district are peasant in nature, only few are into smallholder farming for sales with the support of Non-Government Organisation Masara N’Arziki. The company gives input credit support to smallholder farmer and in return buy their produced. This study assessed factors that influence access to the project and the challenges participants in the project encountered using probit regression model and Kendall`s W. 195 smallholder farmers were selected comprising of 118 participants and 77 non-participants.

Entrepreneurial education in teacher training programmes as a tool for reducing unemployment in Nigeria

The problem of unemployment has remained intractable even in developed economies of the world. Unemployment is one of the social problems in Nigeria which has assumed a greater dimension. The Nigeria unemployment rate was recorded at 12.1% in the first quarter of 2016, translating into 20.57million.

Socio-economic and educational background of the respondents of erode city corporation of Tamil Nadu, India - A survey

A study was carried out in Erode, a tier-II city of Tamil Nadu with the objective to study the social and educational background of the respondents. Multistage sampling procedure was adopted to select 120 household respondents. Relevant data were collected through personal interview with the help of a pilot-tested interview schedule. An ex-post facto research design was adopted to find out the results. Socio-economic background of the respondents of Erode City showed that nearly 50 per of the respondents were in the age group of 30-50 and 82.5 per cent of the respondents were female.
