Himachal Pradesh is a hill state which comprised about 90 per cent of its total population depending on forest resources for the subsistence needs of fuel wood, fodder, grazing, construction timber and other non-timber forest products for some of which there is no available substitutes. Such contributions of forests in the form of goods and services used for subsistence needs are termed as direct consumptive benefits or contributions of forests which often go unnoticed and unaccounted as the products do not enter the market.

This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of policies of civil servants placement to the structural positions. The study uses qualitative method, a procedure that emphasizes research on the characteristics of natural background, the researcher as an instrument, using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation as data collection techniques. The focus of research produces descriptive data in the form of written and spoken words and analyzed inductively.

Leadership in school is one topic that is always interesting to be studied and researched, because most observed and at the same time the least understood phenomena. The objective of this paper is to describe principal roles in prcaticing an effective leadership in school. The result shows a pricipals's leadership role as a driving force in the process of cooperation between people in the schools. An effective school leadership is a leader who has the intellectual capability, maximizing all its potential and continue to fix the potential to continue to learn.

The issue of terrorism as a global problem occupies a large space in everybody’s lives nowadays. Thus, many researchers from different disciplines try to understand its origins, causes, objectives, effects and means of countering it. In countering terrorism, initially hard power has been used by countries all over the world as the main strategy for a long time. Turkey also has tried this strategy and it is found to be ineffective. Then, the countries decided to try soft power as an alternative approach for countering terrorism.

Fish In this article I present a techno-ethical perspective of Kafka’s story “In the Penal Colony”. It is well known that Kafka was endowed with a penetrating perspective on reality as well as an aptitude for self-reflection. The combination of these two personality traits, together with his skill of metaphoric writing, created enigmatic multi-layered literature. Using absurd and extreme metaphors Kafka criticizes the various central power-wielding entities such as the regime, bureaucrats, judges, etc.

Right to education is fundamentally linked to the realization of potential of an individual which ultimately fosters human dignity. As a socio-economic right, right to education casts positive obligation on the State and was therefore placed under the non-justiciable Directive Principles of State Policy under Part IV of the Indian Constitution. The Constitutionalisation of right to education in India has been influenced by several human rights dimensions.

Investigations were conducted to evaluate the viability of corncob and rice chaff co-digested with goat and dog dungs in the production of biogas. The study was carried out at mesophillic condition in six mini laboratory digester fabricated using guage 16 metal sheets with 80L capacity for five weeks retention time. Five different ratios of goat and dog dungs were blended with the feedstock.

A field experiment was conducted during the kharif season of 2014 at Main Agriculture Research Station (MARS), University of Agriculture Sciences, Dharwad (Karnataka) to study the influence of foliar application of nutrients on morpho-physiological traits, yield and yield components in greengram.

A series of vanadium supported on molybdenum and titanium co-pillared montmorillonite, for use in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO by ammonia, were prepared and characterized with different technique. The surface properties of the samples were compared to the support prepared in absence and in presence of sulphate groups. The catalysts are porous solids and the support (MoTi-PILC) prepared in absence of sulfate shows highest surface area and number of acid sites.

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) with two different average diameters were purified with the nitric acid (MWCNT-HNO3) treatment process. The N2 (adsorption/desorption) measurement showed an increase in surface area from the raw material to the MWCNT 4 normal (4N) acid (HNO3) treatment material, and a decrease in surface area from the MWCNT-4N acid treatment material to the MWCNT-8N acid treatment material. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis implies that some amorphous carbons have been removed from the treated samples and defects on the sidewalls were observed.
