O desperdício e a perda de alimentos ainda é crescente e por consequência, desencadeia um grande impacto na sustentabilidade dos sistemas alimentares, reduzindo a disponibilidade local e mundial de alimentos e afetando diretamente a segurança alimentar e nutricional das pessoas. O objetivo do estudo foi identificar a percepção de alunos do 3º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Trata-se de uma pesquisa observacional, descritiva, com uma abordagem quantitativa, composta por 22 alunos com a média de idade de 8,73 ±0,703. Utilizou-se um questionário piloto com 10 perguntas fechadas.

A oxigenação por membrana extracorpórea (ECMO) pode ser considerada uma importante terapia de resgate para os casos de insuficiência pulmonar refratária induzida pelo novo Coronavírus. Objetivo: avaliar o conhecimento dos profissionais de enfermagem que trabalham na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) de um hospital da cidade de Montes Claros-MG acerca das técnicas de higienização oral dos pacientes intubados em decorrência da Covid-19. Materiais e Métodos: trata-se de um estudo transversal descritivo, a população do presente estudo foi composta por 14 profissionais de enfermagem que trabalham na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva de um hospital da cidade de Montes Claros, Minas Gerais.

Introdução: A violência obstétrica pode ser definida como qualquer ato ou intervenção direcionada à parturiente ou diretamente ao seu bebê, onde são realizados procedimentos sem o consentimento explícito e informado da mulher e/ou desrespeito à sua autonomia. Introduction: Photographic records are of utmost importance in the field of “facial esthetics”. The lack of a photographic standardization hinders the quality of imaging records and renders the validation of procedures and products impossible. Moreover, no simple device, much like that used in cephalometric radiography, has been established to resize the photographic image in such a way as to enable and develop facial-esthetic cephalometric traces in fontal and lateral incidences.

This study aimed to improve the nutritional value and digestibility of Sorghum Husk (SH) using urea and chicken manure treatments. SH was exposed to chemical (5% urea), (5 % urea and 10 % molasses) and biological (chicken manure 10 %) treatments.

Chagas disease is a pathology caused by the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi. It is known that such infection is capable of causing damage to the gap junctions, but its engines are not completely described. Therefore, the objective of the work is to review the literature as interactions of the protozoan Trypanossoma crossed in some cell lines, such as: cardiomyocytes, macrophages and adipocytes, with a focus on the changes caused in the class of connexins, especially in the connexin 43, and with the following threats in the intercellular communication of these strains.

Although the search for vaccine production was carried out in a short period, and the advantages of vaccination programs are known worldwide, there is a reluctance to vaccine. Social media are effects of actions that replicate, disseminate and publish information and arguments about vaccination are no different, and thousands of information and positions on immunizers were discussed.

The objective of this study was to validate the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) for the adult and elderly population in colorectal cancer screening in the Legal Amazon region. The FFQ and two 24-hour recalls were applied, and nutrient intake estimates were compared. For this, the paired t test, Pearson correlation and Bland-Altman regression were used with a significance level of 5%. Significant correlations were accepted, with R values between 0.4 and 0.7 for macronutrients and 0.3 to 0.7 for micronutrients.
