Clinical epidemiological analysis of entropion in dogs and cats: retrospective study (2013-2020) in the veterinary hospital of the federal University of Jataí

Entropion is characterized by the inversion of the eyelid margin. It can affect the upper eyelid, the lower eyelid or both, be unilateral or bilateral and manifest a series of clinical eye signs in dogs and cats. Given the clinical importance of entropion, this study aimed to analyze the clinical and epidemiological aspects of this important disease in dogs and cats that were attended and surgically treated in the Veterinary Ophthalmology Department of the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Jataí in the period from 2013 to 2020.

Covid-19 e os 200 anos de florence nightingale: contributos da teoria ambientalista em tempos de pandemia

Trata-se de uma comunicação livre com o intuito de refletir acerca das contribuições da Teoria Ambientalista de Florence Nightingale para o atual cenário da Pandemia da COVID-19. A Teoria Ambientalista apresentada em 1859 por Florence Nightingale, demonstra que o controle do ambiente, bem como a lavagem das mãos, e cuidado com a saúde mental tem influência direta na saúde dos indivíduos. A higienização das mãos é uma medida eficaz para o controle da propagação da COVID-19.

O presente artigo aborda o Justo e o Injusto Ambiental no tocante à desproporcional distribuição dos aspectos positivos e negativos da exploração dos recursos hídricos na Amazônia Paraense. A introdução apresenta os conceitos teóricos de Justiça Ambiental e Sustentabilidade. Na sequência são apresentadas informações oficiais em relação aos grandes empreendimentos exploradores de recursos hídricos e uma síntese da Gestão da Recursos Hídrico no Estado do Pará, com os dados de acesso à água e ao saneamento.

Impact of covid-19 on impression taking and digital scanning procedures

After the pandemic caused by the new Corona virus, protective measures were proposed to avoid dissemination of COVID-19 disease. Many services of public attendance need to change protocol to guarantee protection of users and service providers. With the high rate of contagion and the possibility of asymptomatic carriers around, COVID-19 presents dental professions with a high risk of infection. Biosafety measures must be meticulously carried out, from the time patients make their appointments until they leave the clinic.

As práticas de cuidado realizadas pelo enfermeiro na atenção primária ao homem idoso com tuberculose

Objetivo: Analisar o discurso a partir das marcas identificadas nas falas dos enfermeiros a respeito das práticas de cuidado a homens idosos com tuberculose a partir dos atributos da Atenção Primária à Saúde. Método: Estudo qualitativo, desenvolvido com 04 enfermeiros assistenciais atuantes na Estratégia de Saúde da Família, entre os meses de maio e julho de 2018, no município de João Pessoa - Paraíba, Brasil. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e analisados de acordo com os preceitos da Análise de Discurso, linha francesa.

Assessment of drug use and quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes using vildagliptin and speckle tracking changed

Introduction: It is of key importance to assess medication use in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. Quality of life should also be investigated, as it may be affected by the required therapeutic strategies. Objective: Assessing medication use and quality of life in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients using vildagliptin. Materials and methods: It is a longitudinal, prospective and intervention study. Sociodemographic, clinical, and other three tools were collected. Two for quality-of-life assessment and one for medication use assessment.

Companies and people are tasked with creating relevant solutions (innovations) centered on the needs of human beings. A crucial aspect of Design Thinking is that its focus should be on people, that is, a solution that can solve a people problem or be able to create a new experience for people. Design thinking for device development for training in microsurgery

Objective: Use the principles of Design Thinking (DT) to create a training model in Microsurgery. Methods: DT was used to develop prototypes and to validate the concepts and functionality of the device for training in microsurgical techniques. Based on the three main pillars of DT: Empathy, Collaboration and Experimentation; the creation of the training device prototype was built on 4 phases: Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver.

Serological survey for research of covid-19 infections in the adult population of north pioneer, paraná-brazil

Introduction: The pandemic caused by COVID-19 affects millions of people in the worldwide and extensive testing makes it possible to intensify the physical isolation of infected people and to know the evolution of the virus transmission in the community. The objective of this research is to present the proportion of people with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted in 14 municipalities in the pioneer north of Paraná, from June 11 to August 11, 2020. The sample consisted of 609 adult people.

Physiological quality of Talisia Esculenta (Cambess.) radlk. stored seeds

The Talisia esculenta (Cambess.) Radlk., Family Sapindaceae, is native to the Amazon, widely distributed in the Northeast of Brazil, where it has significant economic and ecological potential. However, there are no storage technologies for prolonged periods of its seeds. This study aimed to evaluate the physiological quality of stored seeds of Talisia esculenta submitted to different drying periods. The seeds were dried for 0, 6, 12, 18, and 24 hours and stored in the refrigerator for up to 60 days.
