O presente artigo procura mostrar que o foco central do processo etnocida progressivo para com os povos indígenas no Brasil tem sido sobretudo a precarização da demarcação de terras por parte do Estado, cabendo uma análise jurídica e social dessa evolução histórica.
Mercury concentrations in maternal and fetal tissues are used as biomarkers of prenatal exposure, however, some doubts remain regarding the matrix that can best express exposure during pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to verify the correlation of total mercury concentration between the different matrices of the umbilical cord.
The paper empirically investigates the effect of health on economic growth from 1970 to 2017, using Autoregressive Re-Distributed Lag (ARDL). Life expectancy at birth was used as a proxy for health and real capital GDP as a proxy for economic growth. The results suggest that infant mortality rate decreases economic growth in both the short and the long-run and both statistically significant at 1% level. While better health improves economic performance, it follows from the positive and significant relationship between health and economic growth in the short and long run.
Objective: The aim of the study was to estimate the budget impact of complete implant-supported dental prostheses in the rehabilitation of mandibular edentulism in patients within the context of the Brazilian national health system - “Sistema Único de Saúde” - SUS. Methods: Treatment with complete implant-supported dentures was compared with the technology most frequently used - Conventional Complete Dental Prosthesis.
This research work is carried out on socio-demographic determinants of social studies knowledge among students of upper basic schools in Ebonyi State. It is a descriptive survey research. Three research questions and three hypotheses guided the study. The population of this study comprised all 10, 298 Public Upper Basic II Students in the one hundred and eighty nine (189) Public Upper Basic Schools in the three Education Zones of Ebonyi State. The sample of this study was 515 Upper Basic II Students which represents 5% of the entire population in the area of the study.
O tromboembolismo venoso (TEV) é um problema de alto risco em gestantes, sendo que a enoxaparina é o principal medicamento de escolha para o tratamento dessa patologia. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a dispensação desse fármaco em gestantes em um hospital de alta complexidade em Belém-PA, no período de janeiro de 2019 a novembro de 2020, descrevendo as características farmacoeconômicas dessa dispensação.

Estudo com objetivo de investigar em dez bases de dados da literatura, o que foi publicado nos últimos cinco anos a respeito da assistência domiciliar voltada para a prevenção de quedas e a qualidade de vida da pessoa idosa. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, realizada nas bases: PUBMED/MEDLINE, CINAHL, LILACS, BDENF, SCOPUS, WEB OF SCIENCE, SCIELO, IBECS, CUIDEN e COCHRANE, foram encontrados 30 estudos dos quais oito (08) foram selecionados para amostra final. As publicações ocorreram entre 2016 a 2019, prevalecendo estudos com nível II de evidência.
The COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the mental health of the general population and of people with previous mental disorders. Objective: to verify the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of individuals with preexisting mental disorders. Method: integrative review, performed through the search in the databases Virtual Health Library (VHL), Medical Publications (PubMed), Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics), American Psychological Association (PsycINFO), Scopus (Elsevier), SciELO, Portal CAPES and Medline.
