Lesions in the anterior cruciate ligament are one of the most common, requiring surgical intervention in many cases. Post-surgery brings functional repercussions to the patient, showing the importance of a rehabilitation focused on factors that will provide improvement in strength, stability and safety for the resumption of sports practice. The aim of this study is to analyze, through the International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) questionnaire, the patient's level of functionality after discharge from rehabilitation of the anterior cruciate ligament surgery.

Introduction: In utero nutrition is a crucial period for establishing and maintaining epigenetic landmarks of the offspring, as well as impacting the reproductive system of the mother and offspring. Objective: To conduct a literature review on the changes that maternal obesity causes in the maternal and offspring reproductive system. Methodology: A systematic review was carried out with the search for articles published in the last five years, based on Pubmed, Scielo and Lilacs databases.

Among the vector-borne zoonoses, visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is one of the most important, because, if left untreated, it can have a high mortality rate in humans. Objective: This study was conducted to assess the knowledge of individuals about VL. Methods: The research is characterized as a quantitative, descriptive and exploratory study, with a sample population of 736. A structured questionnaire was developed involving comprehensive questions related to knowledge about VL and made available through an online platform.

This study examined the germination behaviour of Abelmoschus esculentus (okra) and Brassica nigra (mustard) seeds under an array of environmental conditions to dispense information on basic plant growth requirements, germination capacity at different pH and salinity levels, and other associated effects on growth parameters during seedling development. Seeds were sown into Petri dishes containing various concentrations of PH and sodium chloride solutions .In the experiment, distilled water served as control.

A presença de células da zona de transformação constitui critério de qualidade da amostra para o diagnóstico das lesões precursoras e do próprio Câncer cervical. Objetivo: Investigar a associação entre a representatividade do epitélio glandular/metaplásico e a positividade para alterações precursoras do Câncer. Metodologia: Estudo ecológico realizado no município de Altamira-PA, utilizando-se a plataforma DATASUS do ministério da saúde para coleta de dados no período 2014 a 2018. Os dados foram analisados através da estatística descritiva e analítica por meio de testes não paramétricos.

Quality of life: Approach in the communities of Ilha do Mel, belonging to the municipality of Paranaguá, on the coast of Paraná. The population lives in a constant search for improvements in the quality of life, always aiming to better meet their needs before society. The objective of the study was to estimate the residents of Ilha do Mel quality of life. The tool used was a questionnaire with open and closed questions, where 225 interviews were obtained within the four chosen communities.

Este artigo busca compreender as interfaces do referencial de gênero com as estratégias de prevenção de violência masculina propostas por estudos realizados no campo da saúde no Brasil. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa abrangendo o período entre 2009 e 2018, por meio de 14 artigos com abordagem qualitativa enfocando estudos empíricos que apresentaram ações e propostas relativo ao tema da violência na população masculina brasileira.

The diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) remains clinical to this date. Immune dysfunction has been a recognized feature in ASD, and several researchers suggest that it can be used as a diagnostic tool by detecting biomarkers as well as an effective route for pharmacological intervention. The molecular biomarkers obtained from biological fluids are gaining relevance because of its lower invasiveness and ease of collection.

O objetivo do estudo foi realizar uma revisão sistematizada da literatura a fim de identificar os possíveis efeitos tóxicos da E. tirucalli. No processo de busca e seleção dos artigos foram consultadas as bases de dados científicas do Centro Latino-Americano e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde – BIREME e Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina (NLM®) dos Estados Unidos - PUBMED. Tradicionalmente no Brasil a E. tirucalli, pertencente à família Euphorbiaceae, e é amplamente utilizada no tratamento do câncer.
