Statistical approach of the physicalchemical investigation of chitosan/collagen biomatrix crosslinked with gradient of genipin for tissue engineering

Introduction: More than 60 million people in the United States have had an increase in their life expectancy in recent years because of artificial tissue and organ therapy, with every five people over 65 years old. In Brazil, this figure was higher. Thus, tissue engineering contemplates numerous advantages that meet the needs of the injured tissue or organ for the regeneration process. Objective: to investigate the physicochemical properties of chitosan/collagen cross linked with a gradient of genipin for tissue engineering.

Isolation and selection for edible mushroom production by liquid fermentation as laccase bioleaching sago starch

Production sago starch from Indonesia reached 585,000 tons in 2015 has become the largest in the world. However sago starch has a weakness that is brownish color, unpleasant smells and soft texture. The weaknes can be overcome by adding laccase in the bleaching process. The purpose of this study is production of laccase from edible mushroom from market in liquid fermentation. Materials used are Plurotusostreatus mushroom, Agaricusbisporus and Rhyzopusoligosporus obtained from the market.

A geographic information system (gis) based land suitability analysis and characterization for industrial siting in abakaliki area, Southeastern Nigeria

The Implication of appropriate site for industrial use is critical to environmental health. Determination of factors such as population, geospatial characterisation including climate are the baseline statistics needed to generate thematic map layers. Assessment of terrain provides information for optimum spatial utilization in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Geostastical data acquired from investigation were imported into appropriate software’s such as Rockworks 16, Microsoft excel, Global mapper and Arc-GIS.

Effects of drought stress and field treatments on seed germination and early growth traits of parental berseem clover seeds

Improving seed resistance to water shortage can enhance forage production and sustainability in arid and semi-arid agricultural lands. This three-year field, laboratory and greenhouse study proposes applying surfactant to effectively prevent the detrimental impacts of severe drought conditionson early plant development. Seeds retrieved from six parental plantsof berseem clover (Trifolium alexandrinum L.) developedunder I100 (100% irrigation water)/I100+s (irrigation water plus surfactant), I75/I75+s and I50/I50+s treatments in the field.
