A bionanotecnologia é uma das mais recentes evoluções da Ciência com contribuições significativas para o campo da saúde, especialmente para a Medicina de Precisão, portanto esta revisão bibliográfica propõe-se destacar e discutir os principais achados científicos sobre a Bionanotecnologia aplicada à Medicina de Precisão.
A doença cardiovascular aterosclerótica é responsável por cerca de metade da morbidade e mortalidade em todo o mundo. Dentre os fatores de risco temos o tabagismo, a hipertensão arterial, diabetes mellitus e a dislipidemia – alteração quantitativa das lipoproteínas plasmáticas caracterizada por aumento e/ou redução das partículas – como os mais relevantes.
The LGBTQIA+ population has been a neglected, excluded group and a target of discrimination and prejudice trhoughout history. With an analysis of current disadvantages suffered by the community in Brazil, there are multiple social and political aspects that perpetuates inequality andexclusion from society. Healthcare is a right to all citizens and a state duty, guaranteed through social and economic policies that minimize health risk and other consequences, and in Brazil, with the Unified Health System (SUS), itallows every citizen the access to this social right.
O envelhecimento populacional é um fenômeno global, que exige da sociedade, poder público e serviços assistenciais uma reestruturação de processos, legislação e posturas. Em tal contexto, verifica-se o crescimento acelerado de estudos e serviços voltados aos cuidados paliativos no processo de senescência. O objetivo do estudo foi conhecer o significado de cuidados paliativos ao idoso na percepção do médico e equipe multidisciplinar, bem como analisar as comorbidades relacionadas ao processo de senescência.

Lavender essential oil (LEO) has shown promising properties for use in anti-aging cosmetics because of its ability to enhance collagen synthesis in fibroblasts. The nanoencapsulation of LEO may not only improve the permeation of the active ingredient into the skin, but also helps to prevent loss of volatile ingredients and to increase the formulation stability. The aim of this study was to develop LEO-loaded nanocapsules and to evaluate its biological activity. LEO-loaded nanocapsules were prepared using a 2³ full factorial design by the preformed polymer interfacial deposition method.

Introduction: The gait can be defined as a cyclic pattern, in the biped posture, which uses the lower limbs for propulsion of the body. In the field of Neurology, walking in the physical examination represents signs in the neurological evaluation, which assist in closing diagnoses. In the clinical environment, especially in the offices, the refinement of the gait evaluation is restricted to the experience of the clinician, because the space is often reduced, the time inadequate for evaluation. Few reports in the literature address this issue.
A cirurgia bariátrica é um dos recursos utilizados para tratamento da obesidade. Para a realização da cirurgia bariátrica, é necessário que o paciente passe pela avaliação com uma equipe multidisciplinar para determinar se este está apto a realizar o procedimento. Um dos profissionais que o paciente precisa passar é o psicólogo. Este fará a avaliação psicológica antes da intervenção cirúrgica. Esta pesquisa trata-se de uma revisão de literatura e tem como objetivo compreender o papel do psicólogo no processo da avaliação psicológica para realização da cirurgia bariátrica.
The Covid-19 outbreak caused a joint movement of researchers from around the globe in a way never before seen in the history of modern science, with the purpose of elucidating the entire pathophysiology of the disease, caused by the Sars-Cov-2 virus, and its systemic alterations that go beyond the involvement of the respiratory system. There is now widespread interest in investigating a relationship between Sars-Cov-2 infection and the involvement of other systems, such as the central nervous system, on triggers for manifestations such as Guillain-Barré Syndrome, and dysautonomia.
