Awareness regarding knowledge and practices of ergonomics in nursing staff of government hospital in Karad Taluka

Background: Musculoskeletal disorders are more common in nursing staff due to increase in the workload and due to advancement in the field of health care delivery system. This study aimed at finding out the knowledge and practise regarding ergonomics in nursing staff of government hospital of Karad taluka. Methods: It was an observational study on 96 nursing staff working in government hospital of Karad in 2019, selected by random sampling. Data was collected by Ergonomics Questionnaire, which consisted of 21 questions. The F value was obtained as 165.64 and the P value was <0.0001.

Health workers occupational accidents evaluation: a historical series

Objective: to analyze the historical series of occupational accidents occurrence to health personnel in a city from the southern region of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Method: this is a descriptive, historical series exploratory, with quantitative approach, developed through Observatório de Saúde e Segurança do Trabalho data, from TrabalhoDecenteSmartLab platform, for the southern region of Minas Gerais city, Brazil. The studied population was all the healthcare workers who suffered work accidents from 2002 to 2018.

Perfil epidemiológico da covid-19 emmato grossoe mato grosso do sul: maio de 2020

Objective: To investigate the incidence of COVID-19 according to sex, age group, and health professionals with suspicion and confirmation of the disease in the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul between May 18 and 25, 2020. Method: Descriptive study, quantitative, with calculations of incidence of COVID-19 and distribution of the disease in the population and professional categories. Results: The incidence rate of COVID-19 was 43.1 cases/ 100,000 inhabitants in Mato Grosso do Sul, and 24.2/100,000 inhabitants in Mato Grosso.

Chronic low back pain, what kind of treatment? isokinetic or physical therapy?

Objective: To confirm or rebut the superiority of isokinetic therapy techniques over physical therapy techniques. Population and method: In a prospective randomized study over 40 patients among who 17 women and 23 men suffering from a chronic low back pain with an average age (5-43 years).The population was divided on tow groups; the first half received nine treatment sessions of isokinetic, the second received the same amount of treatment but in physical therapy.

Percepção do enfermeiro na assistência às pessoas com potencial suicida.

Introdução: Frente a pressão social e transtornos como ansiedade e depressão houve um aumento considerado de tentativas de suicídio na população que eleva a demanda de pessoas que chegam por tentativa de suicídio nos prontos socorros, exigindo uma postura profissional ética, humanizada e capacitada para prestar uma assistência adequada ao paciente. Objetivo: Verificar a percepção do enfermeiro que presta assistência ao paciente com tentativa de suicídio.

Cognitive profile of elderly in primary health care

To investigate the cognitive profile of elderly assisted in Primary Health Care. Descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach conducted in the city of Campina Grande, in the state of Paraíba (PB), from January to March 2018. The sample consisted of 50 elderly individuals - 10 subjects from each District. An instrument containing questions related to the sociodemographic profile, self-reported health problems and the Mini Mental StateExamination (MMSE) was used.

Introduction: In the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) scenario, COVID-19 disease is associated with vascular inflammatory processes, myocarditis, and cardiac arrhythmias, thus, its mortality is associated with cardiovascular diseases (CVD), diabetes, and hypertension. The mechanisms are that cardiovascular disease and pharmacological inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 can increase ACE2 levels, and coronavirus infection can decrease ACE2.

Determinants of neural tube defect spinal bifida in tigray region Ethiopia a case control study 2015/16

Background- Spinal bifida is a common congenital malformation in human and is defined as a disorder of the spinal vertebra due to a failure to closure the caudal part of the Neural tube or a baby's spine does not close completely during early pregnancy. Spinal bifida is one of the complex disorder that cause lifelong disability, dependency and it has an impact on the growth and development of a country. However, evidences on the determinants of spinal bifida in Ethiopia are scarce.
