Os idosos residentes em Instituições de Longa Permanência (ILPI) podem apresentar maior risco de problemas relacionados ao uso de medicamentos, fazendo necessária a investigação do seu uso racional, podendo auxiliar no planejamento de ações, contribuindo no aprimoramento da assistência ofertada nos serviços de saúde. O objetivo deste artigo foi identificar a prevalência de Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 (DM2), assim como a ocorrência de polifarmácia em idosos institucionalizados.

The article aimed to highlight the effectiveness of the treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds mediated by mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) obtained through the Rigenera® protocol. Rigenera® technology is a system that allows cell disaggregation that, through mechanical force performed by a device called Rigeneracons, is able to obtain a micrograft containing cell subpopulations (including MSC) that can be used in various interventions. This system has the advantage of eliminating the laboratory steps of MSC preparation.

Coral fish have become a common catch target for Pari Island fishermen. The selection of eco-friendly fishing gear is considered important to maintain the stability of coral reef ecosystems and realize sustainable fishing fisheries. The selection of eco-friendly fishing technology is based on the criteria in the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF). This research aims to identify coral fish catches and determine superior coral fish and environmentally friendly coral fishing technology. The method of data retrieval is done through observation and interview.

Analisar o contexto e os significados do trabalho de profissionais de saúde idosos, diante das novas configurações da sociedade e demandas do mercado de trabalho. Estudo qualitativo exploratório descritivo, desenvolvido na rede de atenção à saúde do Município de Santa Cruz do Sul-RS. Compuseram o estudo, idosos profissionais da área da saúde, gestores de saúde e representante do Conselho Municipal do Idoso (CMI). Como instrumento de coleta: entrevistas semiestruturadas contendo o perfil sociodemográfico e ocupacional e sete questões abertas.

Weeds are a problem in conventional farming systems and an even bigger problem when dealing with agro forestry systems due to the difficulties of controlling machinery in these spaces. This study evaluates the occurrence of weeds under two control methods in an agro forestry system. The monitoring took place for 20 months under two weed control regimes: mechanized and semi-mechanized. It used calculations of relative frequency relative density, Shannon diversity, Pielou equitability and the SAS STEPDISC PROC procedure to identify the most discriminant species of each treatment.

A violência é um fenômeno social e histórico que provocam sérios impactos sobre a saúde das pessoas. As mulheres são vítimas constantes desses abusos que se configuram através de lesões físicas ou emocionais, traumas e mortes. A violência contra mulheres representa um grave problema de saúde pública no Brasil e no mundo. Objetivo do presente trabalho foi verificar a relação do isolamento social imposto pela pandemia COVID 19, com a violência às mulheres.

The present study aimed to determine the prevalence of HIV/AIDS virus infection in patients with psychiatric disorders in reference service in mental health care, to characterize them sociodemographically and identifying the main psychiatric diagnoses and comorbidities. The data were obtained through a study in medical records of hospitalized patients in the period from 2012 to 2014. From the universe of 823 patients, 7 were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, obtaining a prevalence of 0.8%.

Objetivo: comparar a qualidade de vida de trabalhadores de um hospital universitário público, com dor lombar crônica submetidos acupuntura sistêmica por meio da aplicação de três protocolos de tratamento distintos. Metódo: estudo randomizado, duplo cego realizado de janeiro a junho de 2019 com 46 trabalhadores alocados em três grupos, com seleções diferentes de acupontos. Os dados foram coletados no primeiro e sexto atendimento e lançados no software da OPTUM, PRO CoRE 1.5 SmartMeasurement®System, adquirido para este estudo.

Aim: To verify the counter-torque required for screw removal from prosthetic abutments on internal hexagon and Morse taper implants after mechanical cycling. Ten internal hexagon implants (IH- Titamax II plus” 3,75 x 13 mm - Neodent) and ten Morse taper implants (MT-Titamax Cone Morse” 3,75 x 13 mm- Neodent) were used, where the implants IH received the abutment of 4,5 x 6 x 1 mm and the MT implants received the solid abutment of 4,5 x 6 x 0,8 mm.
