Asthma and phytotherapy treatments in Northeastern Brazil

The present article was conducted with the purpose of investigating the traditional treatments of folk medicine for asthma in Northeastern Brazil, in order to identify the ingredients, recipes, cultural-historical survey, etc. in its phytotherapeutic basis. The research included a bibliographic review phase; and later, a field research, using a semi-structured questionnaire, applied among residents of the cities of Recife-PE, Ouricuri-PE, Juazeiro do Norte-CE, and Picos-PI.

Interação da fisioterapia na atenção primária à saúde: uma revisão integrativa

Objetivo: O estudo visa destacar a atuação do profissional fisioterapeuta na atenção primária à saúde. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, a qual se utilizou das bases de dados Scielo e Bireme Lilacs, sendo pesquisadas pela combinação dos descritores fisioterapia, fisioterapeuta, atenção primária à saúde, e seus sinônimos, no período de 2016-2021, sem restrição de idioma. Procedeu-se a leitura, análise e seleção por pares. Resultado: De um total de 53 artigos, apenas 08 atenderam aos critérios de inclusão.

Influence of precipitation on the environmental vulnerability to erosion of soils: a case study in the coastal region of pará

Soil is a vital natural resource and is essential for sustainable socioeconomic development of a given region. The knowledge of the relationships between the elements of the physical environment is essential for formulating adequate proposals for preventing and controlling soil loss. It is important to identify the areas that are the most vulnerable to soil loss, such that best land use practices can be adequately and safely adopted.

Loss of water quality of an urban river in cusco: saphy case

Water quality is the set of chemical, physical and biological characteristics that make the river suitable for different uses such as: maintenance of ecosystems to human consumption. The objective was to determine the loss of quality of the Saphyriver that crosses the city of Cusco through the historic center; Physicochemical and biological parameters were used through standardized methods for the analysis of drinking and waste water, the sources of deterioration were identified. For the laboratory analysis, the methodology of the National Water Authority was followed.

Embedded systems for energy efficiency of climate environments

The consumption of electricity grows as technology advances, as this, almost entirely depends on the power of some energy source, the increase in this consumption causes positive impacts, but also negative one of them is due to the high cost of these resources , the reduction of resources destined to education in Brazil makes institutions look for strategies to reduce expenses and one is, to be able to use efficiency in the consumption of electric energy. This work aims to reduce electricity consumption, increase the duration of climate control devices and improve thermal comfort.

Cateter venoso central de inserção periférica e a infecção na neonatologia: uma revisão integrativa

The Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) has become a relevant device, so it is pertinent to be empowered with the literary knowledge produced in order to enable the best practice. The aim of this study was identify, in national and international publications, the current knowledge about PICC and Bloodstream Infections in the neonatal population. This is an integrative review. Data collection was performed through electronic Search in the following databases: LILACS, MEDLINE-PubMed, SciELO, Science direct (ELSEVIER) and Cochrane.

Incidence of self-medication and indiscriminate use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs among young university students

Objectives: Evaluate the prevalence of self-medication and possible adverse reactions caused by the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs by students of the School of Health Sciences of the Amazonas State University, Brazil. Methods: This is a study with a quantitative approach, consisted of questions addressing gender, age, university course, adverse effects and questions about self-medication. Results: Of the 60 academics who answered the questionnaire, the majority are female (33/55%) were aged between 18 and 22 years (31/52%).

Quantitative analysis regarding deforestation in the municipality of placas, pará, Brazil

In the Amazon region, especially in the western part of the state of Para, in the municipality of Placas, deforestation intensified after the “integrate but not deliver” program. The objective of this research was to verify anthropic actions such as the opening of roads, extraction of wood, population growth, and the local economy, such as the increase in cattle and soybean farming. The method used was deductive, with a quantitative scope. The obtention of data in free-access electronic databases such as the CAPES Periodical Portal.

Challenges experienced by health professionals who acted on the front line to combat covid-19

This article aims to describe the challenges experienced by health professionals who worked on the front line in combating the pandemic from COVID-19. Methodology: Review of narrative literature that searched articles in two databases of the Virtual Health Library website — Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (Lilacs) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), as well as data provided by SAMU -CE regarding the low number of professionals between 2020 and 2021.
