The human parvovirus B19 (B19V) is an infectious viral agent associated with mild clinical conditions, such as the benign self-limiting exanthematous disease, but possibly fatal for fetuses. In this study, we observed positive cases of B19V in samples investigated due to suspicious dengue virus infection. The serum samples (n=17) were obtained in 2018 from patients attended by the public health system in Santarém municipality, located in the Amazon region of Brazil. Samples were submitted to ELISA (IgM) and also nested-PCR, presenting negative results to dengue virus in all tested samples.

Given the importance of knowing more about the SARS-Cov-2 infection, a study was carried out using the medical records of 104 individuals during up to 14 days of COVID-19, treated at an outpatient clinic, between January and April 2021, in the Amazon region, northern Brazil. The objective was to correlate the levels of lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), a biomarker of tissue damage, with the presence and extension of lung lesions through lung CT scans.

Purpose: A protocol for regeneration of P. hispidum through somatic embryogenesis in leaf explants is described. Under aseptic conditions, the leaves were cut into 1.0 cm2 explants. These explants were inoculated into test tubes with 10.0 mL of an Murashige and Skoog (MS) basal culture medium supplemented with 30.0 g L-1 sucrose, 6.0 g L-1 agar and a factorial combination of the growth regulators 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 6-Benzylaminopurine (BA), both at 0.0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 mg L-1, totalizing 25 treatments.

Purpose: Assessment allows students to identify their strengths and weaknesses and, when necessary, facilitates the intervention of the teacher. The Professionalism Mini-Evaluation Exercise (P-MEX) is an instrument with good psychometric properties used to assess the professionalism of students. Despite having good properties, there is no version validated for use in Brazil. Therefore, the aim of this study was to validate the cross-culturally adapted version of the P-MEX for Brazilian Portuguese and for the evaluation of pediatric residents.

Actinobacteria of the genus Streptomyces have great potential in producing several bioactive compounds. With that, the objective was to characterize morphologically isolates of Streptomyces, to evaluate the phosphate solubilization and the production of indole acetic acid (IAA) and the antagonistic activity to the pathogenic fungi Curvularialunata andColletotrichum sp. The morphological characterization presented eight-gram positive isolates from the nine evaluated. Six isolates presented a colony greater than 2 mm, seven with elevated colony and five transparent.

As brânquias são órgãos alvo que têm recebido particular atenção, uma vez que possui ampla superfície de contato com a água, tornando-a um importante biomarcador para avaliação de impactos ambientais no meio aquático. Dentre os animais que se tornaram recursos de relevância socioeconômica e cultural destacam-se os crustáceos, em particular o camarão curuca (Atya scabra). Desta forma, este trabalho teve como objetivo descrever o padrão histológico das brânquias da espécie.

Objetivo: analisar as evidências científicas acerca dos cuidados de enfermagem prestados a pacientes acometidos pela COVID-19. Método: Trata-se de uma scoping review. O instrumento PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews foi utilizado para a redação do estudo. As buscas foram realizadas em quatro bases de dados, resultando em 12.030 estudos dos quais 20 compõem a amostra. Uma análise descritiva dos dados foi realizada. Resultados: A maioria dos estudos incluídos foram desenvolvidos no Brasil e na China, e publicados em 2020.

Given the large human, animal and environmental exposure to pesticides, and the inaccessibility to analytical methods, it is important to rescue simple methods for identifying pesticides. This research aimed to evaluate the efficiency of extracting an agrochemical active from a commercial formulation, directing its application in emergencies by cost, quality, and speed.

O objetivo é analisar se a estrutura teórica do construto cocriação de valor, apresentada pelos autores Ranjan e Read em 2014, tem confirmação com base em levantamento de artigos publicados de 2000 a 2019.A proposta metodológica respalda-se em uma análise bibliométrica com dados extraídos da plataforma de trabalhos científicosWeb of Science, no período entre 2000 e 2019.Estudos dessa natureza contribuem para verificar possíveis alterações nas bases explicativas da cocriação de valor e apresentando a evolução do tema.Nos resultados encontrados, destaca-se que uma das seis subdimensões identi
