Although Brazil is the largest producer of passion fruit, the mean fruit yield is only 13 t ha-1 and may be attributed to susceptibility to pests and diseases. An attractive solution to the problem would be to improve traits by grafting onto a rootstock presenting enhanced vegetative vigor. To this end, the commercial cultivar Passiflora edulis 'BRS Gigante Amarelo' was grafted onto rootstocks that included three native species of Passiflora and four passion fruit hybrids that are still under development.

Os moradores deste serviço podem apresentar alterações no perfil metabólico de lipídeos e da glicose, que podem ser induzidas pela exposição prolongada aos agentes antipsicóticos e pelo estilo de vida dos moradores portadores de transtorno mental. The State of Minas Gerais presents, unlike most Brazilian States, a transmission level that is still low, because Belo Horizontes, the state capital, as well as the cities of Betim and Araguari have not yet reached the level of transmission of the disease that can place the Public Health System in collapse due to lack of ICU beds, respirators and personal protective equipment for health professionals. At first, the pandemic in the state remained at low levels because social isolation measures were enough to flatten the transmission curve.

The potential high performance of self-managed teams materializes with implementing such teams properly and differently from traditional manager-led teams. This article contains a descriptive multiple case study that presents biomimicking as a unique and untapped resource to achieve that potential by applying a biomimicking lens to help understand successful decision-making patterns for self-managed teams.

Após a revolução industrial, as atividades humanas passaram a gerar impactos ambientais cada vez maiores. Com isso, um dos maiores problemas ambientais é a produção de resíduos, visto que, por ano são produzidos milhões de toneladas de lixo contendo inúmeros materiais que poderiam ser reaproveitados e reciclados. Se estes resíduos fossem corretamente destinados e aproveitados, seu acúmulo no meio ambiente seria reduzido, a poluição seria minimizada, o que melhoraria consideravelmente a qualidade de vida da população.

Anthropic actions such as the removal of native vegetation cause the soil infiltration processes to be modified in the semiarid region. The objective of this research was to evaluate the infiltration capacity of the soil in different vegetation coverings in the semiarid region of Pernambuco, Brazil.

Oxidative stress is one of the main factors in the cataract development. Various antioxidants are currently being investigated to prevent cataract formation. The present study evaluated the effect of Naringin-loaded nanoparticles (NLN) in preventing cataracts using an ex vivo model of cataractogenesis. The NLN was prepared using modified single-step nanoprecipitation technique; particle size, surface charge, and polydispersity index by dynamic light scattering, encapsulation efficiency were determined spectrophotometrically.

This study seeks to link Environmental Education with Music Education. The goal of this study is to explore the views of Music Teachers on the contribution of music to the environmental awareness of students in the context of Education for Sustainable Development. In particular, the views of teachers on the environment, sustainability, environmental education, education for sustainable development, their intention to approach Sustainable Development Education through Music Education were examined and recorded, as well as the ways they use to achieve it.
