Comparative study on the energy efficiency of angle-oriented and golden spiral solar panels

Solar technologies are continuously and rapidly growing these days. Researchers continue to look for ways to optimize the harvesting of solar energy. Application of mathematical concepts is one way of increasing the efficiency of solar panels. This study used the concept of (1) Golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence, and (2) perpendicularity angle to the sun to construct solar panels that would maximize the energy output of the panels.

What was solid, is now dismantled: The deconstruction of a gender as a fixed identification

The purpose of this research is to study the right of people to non-identification by anatomical sex. Identification of biological sex is an extremely common practice in society. The first legal act, after the birth with life, is the public registry and the birth certificate in which the identification of the biological sex. Gender as a historical and cultural construction should not be understood as determinant and permanent.

Integrating environmental product declaration into ecolabeling standards: the case of wooden architectural components

The path to sustainable development requires the involvement of consumers and producers of goods. Ecolabels have emerged as the primary avenue of communication between the main agents within production chains, enabling environmental impact reduction and serving as criteria for consumer choices. However, many labels are not easy to attain (mainly for small businesses), as they demand environmental and safety requirements.

¬Analysis of the behavior of the coating mortar with use of feldspato powder in partial replacement to the kid aggregate

Mortar coatings, whether on an internal or external surface, are of great importance for the longevity of the work because they are directly exposed to adverse situations, such as: rainfall, temperature variation, trepidation, soil movement, among others, and must resist all without cracks and cracks, which can lead to infiltrations causing their performance to be compromised. In view of the above, we seek new mixtures and materials that improve the properties of the mortar coating and that may restrain future pathological manifestations.

An algorithm for the enhancement of thermodilution signals

This study aimed to develop and evaluate an algorithm for enriching the thermodilution signal. The method proposed presents an improvement of previous works in the literature in terms of precision, convergence and computational effort. The algorithm proposed is a deconvolution method that works without the need for precise knowledge of the transfer function of the temperature sensor in the Swan-Ganz catheter.

Quality management tools in the food industry

To become more competitive, meet the demands and requirements of the market, reducing waste and rework, increasingly, companies and their managers are looking for systems management. With the main objective to investigate general elements, involving the implementation and performance of the tools of quality management, applied in food industries, a literature search was performed providing understand aspects of the management of production and quality management, relevant research and on the top seven quality tools.

Study of reducing the environmental impact OF CO2 emissions of flexible pavement materials: A critical review

The main objective of study is to present a summary to the best practical applications and recent investigation results on how to reduce environmental effect of carbon dioxide emissions CO2 in flexibly pavement materials, including extraction of virgin materials, heating material, hauling of materials from quarry to the asphalt plant and then to paving place, mix design. Another production techniques for the manufacturing of modified mixes such as warm mix asphalt (WMA), cold mix asphalt (CMA) and reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) mixes are included in this summary.

Solid waste collectors: health and local development in a neighborhood of campo grande / ms, Brazil

This manuscript briefly discusses some aspects related to the categories of solid waste collectors, as well as the health and local development where they reside. The aim of this manuscript is to find out how these three categories are articulated in a given social space. For this purpose the Dom Antônio Barbosa neighborhood was chosen, located in the city of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. A bibliographical research, field work and interviews were carried out to reach the proposed objectives.

Analysis of economic feasibility of voip telephony in a construction company in lages-sc

This article aims to evaluate theVoip Telephonyfocused on the evaluation of it’s economic feasibilityapplied in the evaluation of aConstruction Company in Lages city. Inaddition it will be analyzed a conventional carrier. The study had about of one-year duration, using the comparative descriptive methods. The results in a satisfactory manner, reducing to 40% of the current cost by integrating VOIP solutions as a low-cost differential and satisfactory quality using all the benefits of an Asterisk server.
