Multivariate analysis of chemical components of tobacco leaves

This study examined the Multivariate analysis of Chemical Components of Tobacco Leaves using Canonical Correlation Analysis which seeks to identify and quantify the association between two sets of variables. The paper focused on using Canonical Correlation Analysis to analyze data on chemical components of 25 tobacco leaf samples. The multivariate data satisfied the normality assumption. The data for this study, which contains three criterion measures and six predictor variables, were analyzed using the “SAS” statistical software package.

Geometric and gravimetric characteristics of black gram

Study of  physical properties are necessary to determine the appropriate equipment design for processing transportation, separating, storing and drying systems.  In this experimental study, some  raw material characteristics were determined for the blackgram  to get the idea for proper equipment design . The average length, width and thickness were found  to be 3.53mm, 2.22mm and 2.29mm at 11.11% moisture content  respectively for the dry seeds.

In generalized riemannian geometry, role of non‐symmetric tensor as electromagnetic force in the unified field theory

Our aim is to get electromagnetic force in generalized Riemannian geometry similar to Maxwell electromagnetic force . For this non-symmetric metric    is transformed by Levi Civita transformation. Transformed   is a pseudo tenser of weight one, but the force obtained is different from Maxwell tensor force . Second transformation was done from   to   by taking dual of . We observe that now the force is similar to that of Maxwell force with a difference that of values.

Tribological properties of copper – flyash composite

Copper and its alloys have found wide application in manufacture of bushes, bearings and high conductivity electrical contractors etc. This paper focuses the challenges and opportunities in the improvement of tribological characteristics of copper flyash composite and identifies low cost reinforcement material .Copper flyash mixtures with different weight percentages were prepared. Copper flyash composites improves strength, stiffness and wear resistance. The major drawback of these copper based composites are reduced conductivity and poor mach inability.

Number of windows in a three- connected cubic bipartite planar graph

A planar graph is one that can be drawn on a two-dimensional plane such that no two edges cross. A cubic graph is one in which all vertices have degree three. A three connected graph is one that cannot be disconnected by removal of two vertices. A graph is bipartite whose vertices can be colored using exactly two colors such that no two adjacent vertices have the same color. In this paper I shall prove that the number of windows in every cubic three connected planar bipartite graph of n nodes is where n is the number of nodes.

Studies on the removal of methylene blue dye from water using chitosan

The use of cheap and eco-friendly adsorbents studied as an alternative substitution of activated carbon for removal of dyes from waste water. Chitosan was utilized as adsorbent to remove methylene blue (MB) by adsorption. Batch experiments were conducted to study the effect of pH, initial dye concentration, various adsorbent dosage and these were analyzed using both pseudo first order and pseudo second order equations. The equilibrium adsorption data were analyzed by using the Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms.

Comparative study by digital mechanical simulation of the behavior of tiles in micro - concrete, small and wide size

The present work has for object the comparison by digital simulation of the mechanical behavior of tiles in micro-concrete, the small and wide size to operate a choice on the dimensions and the existing geometrical forms. A modeling of tiles by the software of calculation of structures Robot Millennium 17.0 allowed on one hand to determine the variations of the fields of constraints and the fields of movements of these tiles, to compare the variations of the fields of constraints and movements of the various types of tiles, on the other hand.

Abstract study and validation of a device of tests of quality control of the mechanical characteristics of tiles in micro-concrete

The entitled work "abstract Study and validation of a device of tests of quality control of the mechanical characteristics of tiles, wide size in micro-concrete " has for main object to propose a technology of improvement of the tests of quality control of the mechanical characteristics such as: fold resistance three (3) points and four (4) points, shock resistance and traction resistance of the heel.

Effect of varying level sofnitrogen on growth and yield of okra grown in coal ash amended soil

A  pot experiment was conducted during  rabi season in the net house of the experimental farm of  Department  of  Botany, Aligarh  Muslim  University, Aligarh to study the comparative effect of two doses of basal nitrogen (50 and 100 kg N ha-1) on the performance of Abelmoschus esculentus L. grown in two levels of coal ash (F20 and F40) amended soil. So, low doses of these two waste products are beneficial for growth and yield.

Predicting energy requirement for heating the building using artificial neural network

This paper explores total heat load and total carbon emissions of a six storey building by using artificial neural network (ANN). Parameters used for the calculation were conduction losses, ventilation losses, solar heat gain and internal gain. The standard back-propagation learning algorithm has been used in the network. The energy performance in buildings is influenced by many factors, such as ambient weather conditions, building structure and characteristics, the operation of sub-level components like lighting and HVAC systems, occupancy and their behavior.
