Effectiveness of Makerere University E-learning Environment (Muele) in the Lens of Delone and Mclean’s (2003) Information Systems Success Model: a Qualitative Study

The global trend of embracing electronic learning (e-learning) in higher education raises a crucial need to have evidence of achieving the investment goals. In other words, policy makers and managers are faced with a question as to whether their decisions to invest in ICT in teaching and learning have yielded the intended goals or not. Hence, the aim of this study was to explore how different stakeholders in Makerere University perceived effectiveness of Makerere University E-Learning Environment (MUELE).

How long do directors stay on the board to contribute positively towards the financial performance of plcs in Malaysia?

This study investigates the relationship between the length of time board members serve and the financial performance (FP) of Malaysia's top 500 public listed companies (PLCs). The research uses data from annual reports, secretarial data, and financial statements to analyse the correlation between board tenure (BTEN) and FP. The study found a mean of 8.18 years in BTEN but found no impact on FP. The findings will enhance understanding of corporate governance (CG) and FP in Malaysia, particularly within the Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance (MCCG) framework.

Green marketing orientation and sustainable performance of hospitality firms in the Malabo capital of Equatorial Guinea

In recent years, the hotel industry had faced increasing scrutiny over its environmental impact, prompting customers to seek eco-friendly accommodation options. This research aimed to assess the influence of green marketing and hotel environmental performance within Equatorial Guinea capital of Malabo. Guided by the natural resource base view theory, this study employed a quantitative approach and an explanatory design. The target population included all 197 hotels in Equatorial Guinea capital of Malabo, with a sample size of 132 hotels selected through simple random sampling.

Employing purposive sampling and adapting Lubbock's work, the research explores the interplay between natural history and cognitive psychology. Demographic variations between experimental and control groups prompt nuanced analyses, revealing a consistent trend of improved word retention in the experimental group. While mean scores suggest a positive correlation, a broader score distribution necessitates further statistical scrutiny.
