The main purpose of this article was to study the predictive validity of the Islamic Azad University of the MA Entrance Exam (IAUMAEE) in Iran .The aim of the study was to find probable relationship between Grade Point Average (GPA) in MA courses in the field of their study and their entrance admission test results. The researcher has used the GPA of 135 MA students in teaching English major and their rank in MA University Entrance Exam in Shiraz Azad University.

Groundwater is the most important natural resource used for drinking by many people around the world, especially in rural areas. An attempt has been made in this research paper to understand about the groundwater quality of the Ambuliyar watershed in parts of Thanjavur and Pudukkottai districts, Tamil Nadu, India. Groundwater is the major source for domestic and agricultural activities in the area. The water samples were collected from PWD (Public Works Department).

Testing has always remained at the core of the language learning because it helps decide the level of the learners. Language Testing has witnessed very significant developments in recent years. This has, in turn, led to a major reconsideration of the way language tests are designed, written, analyzed, administered, scored, and used. World testing bodies, therefore, constantly strive to keep up with such developments so that they can offer more reliable and effective examinations. Wilson Taylor’s cloze test is one such work on the testing of reading ability of the target group.

Barring last minutes political permutations, there are indications that the race to the Senate in 2015 will be hotly contested as most of the governors currently serving out their second term have never hidden their ambition to pick up their parties’ tickets for the Upper Chamber. While those already serving will be battling to retain their seats, about eighteen governors currently serving out their second term are expected to slug it out with the incumbent Senators by 2015.

All over the world, the demand for critical infrastructures clearly outstripped the supply and most countries are continually tinkering with various measures to address the deficit.  Infrastructural situation in Nigeria especially road network is pathetic. Decades of poor maintenance, underinvestment and outright abandonment by successive regimes have left the country with an outrageous infrastructure deficit.

The traditional folk musical instruments are the mirror of any community in the society. At earlier days, man used the instruments cared about the instruments and hence protected them and was preserved as traditional instrument or folk musical instrument. It reflects in their rituals, spiritual and the traditional activities through music, song, dance, theater, food, costumes etc. Music is the most important medium through which the culture of any community is evaluated. Folk music is one form of the music which cannot be established in society for many reasons.

The study evaluates the knowledge, attitude and practices of improved nutrition programme among rural women (nursing mothers) in Oyo state, Nigeria. Simple random sampling technique was used to select three (3) LGAs; Saki West LGA, Iseyin LGA and Ibadan North LGA. 150 respondents were finally selected from the study area. Data was collected from 150 respondents with the use of pretested and validated structured interview schedule.

The leading objective of the present study is to represent the meaningful and subjective insights of the lived experiences of flood among the residents of a rural setting of Ghatal (West Midnapore), West Bengal. Through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), the study seeks to explore the insider’s perspectives of the flood that are a very habitual event at Ghatal.

Now-a-days computer and technology play a prominent role in our daily life where we employ them if we understand that or not,  every aspect of living are employing technology to improve a product, to ease a way to do thing or to merely do something novel.  Technology affects every industry and work, and by that employing computer and technology in teaching didn’t become an option but a must.  To study how computers are used in language teaching is one of the important components of applied linguistics.

Migration is part of human life and involves peoples’ movement from one place to another depending on many factors that include resource distribution and the opportunities that some areas in the world present as compared to other areas. As a result of the conflict in Sudan, from 1983-2005, South Sudanese migrated to Kenya for fear of political persecution, human right violation, social, economic and cultural abuses to search for a better way of life.
