Comics as “Little narratives…”

The present paper discusses the pedagogical shifts in English Language Teaching which demands the participation of the subgenres in Literature. The paper also justifies the role of comics in English Language Teaching through Gerard Genette’s paradigm and strongly recommends that Comics can be a viable genre of Sub-literature.  Any element in language teaching requires a context and Literature serves as the best source for any classroom interaction, irrespective of the level of the students. Again, the present scenario in teaching and learning had redefined what ‘literature’ is.

The structural effect of energy policy and industrial output in Nigeria

For the purpose of making energy available for consumption and as bye product for productive activities, the government of Nigeria formulated a comprehensive energy policy. The integrated policy captures policies non-renewable energy in the form of Oil, Gas, Electricity and Coal. This study therefore, examined the structural effect of the energy policy on industrial output in Nigeria between 1980 and 2013. Dummy variable regression technique was used to analyze data on energy consumption (Oil, Gas, Electricity and Coal) and Industrial output in Nigeria.

The scope and ambit of amendment of the constitution; a comparitive study of the constitutions of India, U.S.A and Ethiopia

Constitution of a country is the basic law of the land which provides the rights and duties of citizen along with organization of government, its powers. All the constitutions are equipped with provision for amendment to cope with future needs of the people. This study deals with what extent and range of amendment can be permitted in case of the constitutions of USA, India and Ethiopia. The three constitutions are amendable according their amending provisions and that of India is more flexible to amendments when compared with other two constitutions.

The financial viability and stability through revenue generation and its distribution in a league system: discussion in Indian Context

Sport, in modern era, is no longer an amateur activity. The emergence of the professional sports leagues and competitions throughout the globe has made a significant change in the way sport was produced and consumed. Succession plan among pentecostal churches in Zimbabwe: A qualitative approach using the hidden and public transcripts theory

Succession is a major issue both in business organizations and church organizations.  This study cascades the study of succession planning to church organizations focusing on Pentecostal Churches in Zimbabwe.  Pentecostal Churches in Zimbabwe have been growing at a fast rate with many of them mushrooming at a high rate especially in city centres.  Most of the church founders of Pentecostal churches are still alive and active but what happens when they are gone? The question is a relevant question as this affects the sustainability of such churches.

Occupation structure of work force in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh (AP) is one of the biggest states in India. A.P is 8.4% out of India’s total geographical area and 7.1% of population, ranking fourth in terms of geographical area and fifth in terms of population among the Indian states. This studies focus on the Review of Literature on 2013-2015. It explains the Growth of work force and occupation structure from 1983-84 to 2011-2015. This study exhibits the Distribution of population by occupation of House hold types of social groups in Andhra Pradesh.

A comparative study between two gender groups of home environment: Effect of their emotional intelligence of middle income group school students

The sample consist of 600 students of 8th, 9th and 10th class selected from the co-educational English medium schools of Kolkata. Out of which 300 were boys and 300 were girls. The sample was collected by using multistage random sampling technique. Dr. Meenakshi (2004) developed the socio-economic status scale (SESS) was used to study the socio-demographic characteristics of respondents. Emotional intelligence of the respondents was assessed by using Mangal emotional intelligence inventory (MEII) developed by S.K. Mangal and Shubhra Mangal (2009).

A reaserch of diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage in supply chain management

Remineralisation of tropical ferallitic soils using volcanic rock (tephra) powder in the fertilisation of bambili soils, experimented on zea mays, Cameroon

Totap is situated at the North-East of Mount Bambouto, explosive volcanism emplaced strombolian cones with tephra. Tephra is often used as a constituent of cement and for road surfacing. This product is abundant in Cameroon which is not exploited by the agricultural sector as a natural fertiliser. The goal of this experiment was to evaluate the fertilisation potentials of different proportions of tephra (15, 20 and 25%) on the growth of Zea mays.
