Abordagem precoce para detecção da escoliose: triagem em discentes pelo teste de adams

Posturas e hábitos inadequados adquiridos durante a adolescência podem levar ao desenvolvimento de desvios posturais, principalmente a escoliose. O objetivo foi detectar escoliose por meio de triagem em escolares, pelo teste de Adams. Inquérito epidemiológico com 609 alunos do 5° ao 9º ano, nas escolas públicas municipais de Guaramiranga em 2008. A maioria da população é masculina (52,9%) e têm entre 10 a 12 anos (64,5%). O peso do material escolar foi adequado em 98,7%. O sexo feminino tem maior peso corporal e transporta mais material escolar (p<0,05).

Diagnosis and treatment of patients with sickle cell anemia: an integrative review of the literature

Objective: The study presented here aims to identify, through scientific research, the ways of diagnosis and treatment of sickle cell anemia. Methodology: Integrative literature review of evidence present through research, method in critical evaluation and synthesis, helping to firm the existing health practices. The search was made in LILACS, IBECS, MEDLINE and PUBMED databases. The studies and search were performed in articles from the last 10 years (2012-2022) in order to obtain updates and more recent articles in the literature.

Solid waste management through multi-criteria analysis; case study in abc do paulista – Brazil

This article presents a case study of three municipalities located in the state of the State of São Paulo: Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo and São Caetano do Sul. These municipalities have similar challenges in terms of waste management, in accordance with the National Solid Waste Policy - LawNo. 12.305/2010. The guidelines required by the PNRS, the objective was to apply the multiskewanalysis (Multitribution Value Theory) to evaluate solutions for the management of municipal solid waste (MSW) in each municipality, considering the incorporation of treatment with energy recovery.

Fractal analysis in cone-beam computed tomography and panoramic radiography images of native bone before and after sinus grafts

Care for people with cardiological diseases

Objective: The objective of this work is to describe the care for people with cardiological disorders. Methodology: This is an experience report through the application of the Systematization of Nursing Care (SAE), aimed at people with cardiological disorders in the hospital context. Results and discussion: Adaptation theory was applied in the six phases of Calista Roy's Theory and nursing diagnoses were prepared for the four adaptation modes: physiological, interdependence, self-concept and role function.

Clinical and epidemiological profile of tuberculosis in aracati city, ceara in 2017 and 2018

Introduction: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease originated by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which attacks the lungs and can cause death. Objective: To delineate an epidemiological profile among the age group of patients diagnosed with tuberculosis, investigate, and identify the magnitude of cases of the disease and its consequences in the municipality of Aracati-CE. Methodology: Ecological, descriptive, and quantitative research that sought to understand factors associated with high reported tuberculosis rates.

Role of the physical therapist in the immediate postoperative period of liver transplantation

Liver transplantation has been the most suitable choice for the treatment of end-stage liver disease. And it is in the postoperative period of liver tx that the monitoring of respiratory complications guarantees survival after this procedure. The objective of this study is to evaluate the role of physical therapy in the immediate postoperative period of liver transplantation.

Impact of physiotherapy on the quality of life of depressive people: a literature review

Introduction: Depression is considered a mental health problem. It is a pathology with multifactorial causes whose symptoms are considered complex. Objective: To investigate, through a literature review, the effects of physical therapy modalities on the quality of life of depressive patients. Methodology: This was a literature review with a qualitative approach carried out in January/2019. The selected material corresponds to articles available in the SCIELO – BR, PubMed, PEDro and Cochrane databases.
