Grafting sucess in Different Combinations of Species and Varieties used as Scion and Rootstock of Passion Fruit Plant

This research aimed to evaluate the success of grafting in combinations of scion varieties and species of rootstocks of passion fruit plant. The study was conducted in screenhouse at Acre Embrapa, in Rio Branco, from December in 2012. The scion variety used for all treatments was the yellow passion fruit 'FB 100' and 'FB 200' from Flora Brazil nursery (Araguari, MG) and 5 other regional varieties (UFAC, Universidade Federal do Acre, Rio Branco-AC). The rootstocks used were Passiflora edulis (yellow passion fruit) (Cuiabá-MT), P. alata, P. edulis (purple passion fruit) and P.

The Impact of Sustainable Agriculture Practices on Food Security and Environmental Conservation

Sustainable agriculture is increasingly recognized as a vital solution to the dual challenges of food security and environmental conservation. This research explores the impact of sustainable agriculture practices on both fronts by analyzing five real-world case studies and conducting interviews with key participants. The case studies focus on diverse global examples: organic farming in Sikkim, India; agroforestry in Brazil’s Amazon; precision agriculture in Iowa, USA; urban agriculture in Nairobi, Kenya; and regenerative grazing systems in New South Wales, Australia.

Global Perspectives on Sustainable Agriculture: Insights from Case Studies in Sikkim, Amazon, Iowa, Nairobi, and New South Wales

This study explores the multifaceted nature of sustainable agriculture through qualitative interviews with farmers and an analysis of case studies from diverse regions, including Sikkim, Brazil, and Iowa. The findings reveal that motivations for adopting sustainable practices are rooted in both personal values and economic incentives, while traditional knowledge plays a critical role in shaping these practices. Economic viability, government support, and community engagement emerge as vital themes influencing the transition to sustainability.

Exploring the Dual Benefits of Sustainable Agriculture: Case Studies on Food Security and Environmental Conservation

This study explores the dual benefits of sustainable agriculture in addressing food security and promoting environmental conservation. Through a qualitative research methodology, including five real-world case studies and interviews with agricultural practitioners, the research highlights effective sustainable practices such as crop rotation, intercropping, and organic amendments that enhance soil health and biodiversity.

Integration of remote sensing and machine learning for real-time monitoring of Soil Health Parameters in response to Climate Variability in Karnataka

A remote-sensing and artificial neural network model is proposed for real-time data collection of soil health indices in Karnataka to counter climate change. The main objective is to monitor and understand the seasonal variations in moisture, nutrients, pH, organic carbon, texture and the impact of climate variability on these soil parameters. Data collection included the satellite images from Sentinel-2 and other optical bands such as Lands at 8 and additional high-resolution imagery from UAVs or drones, and the soil moisture was continuously streamed using IoT sensors.

Impact of Sensitization about Hand Hygiene on Nursing Students in a Tertiary Care Hospital

Risankizumab in Psoriasis and Crohn’s Disease: A Comprehensive Review

Risankizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin-23 (IL-23), has emerged as a viable treatment option for psoriasis and Crohn's disease. IL-23 plays an important role in the development of several chronic inflammatory diseases, triggering the immunological response that underpins their clinical symptoms. Risankizumab has shown great effectiveness in decreasing skin lesions in psoriasis, with long-term benefits to the severity of the disease and individual quality of life.

Acute Flaccid Paralysis in a Case of Graves Disease

We report a rare case of Graves Disease presenting as acute flaccid paralysis. A 50-year-old man with known history of Graves Disease presented with sudden onset weakness in both lower limbs, associated with difficulty in breathing and swallowing. The patient received Carbimazole, Propranolol, Inj. Methylprednisolone, and ventilator support. Despite initial paralysis not improving with thyrotoxicosis treatment, it responded well to IVIG therapy.
