The development situation of vietnamese digital libraries

Purpose: Assessing the development situation of digital library in Vietnam in different phases. Design/methodology/approach: This study used material analytical and synthetic and obervations method to figure out the practical and the advantages and disadvantages of developing of Vietnamese digital libraries. Findings: Demonstrating the development situation of Vietnamese digital libraries in terms of information technology infrastructure, digital content and digital librarian. Besides, the study also pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of Vietnamese digital library development.

Mutual fund performance; a study of sharpe ratio

Within the last few year considerable progresses has been made in three closely related areas-the theory of portfolio selection, the theory of the pricing of capital asset under the condition of risk, and the general behaviour of stock market prices. Result obtained in all three areas is relevant for evaluating mutual fund performance. However with this reference, i want to analyse the performance of mutual fund with the help of Sharpe ratios which are used for the portfolio evaluation.

Trademarks in the internet: the road ahead

Study of toy industry: an overview of changing trends

State of forest in India

There is an increase in the forest cover to the tune of 3,775 sq km compared to the assessment done by FSI, Government of India and on its outset it looks as if India is doing very well on this frontier but the scenario is other way round, the country is doing well on the plantation forest but the country looks loosing on the natural forest front.

Women as factor in peacemaking and peacebuilding in the Niger delta region

The Niger Delta region of Nigeria has been rocked by conflicts since the 1960s, unfortunately women and children suffer the most from the consequences occasioned by activities of oil exploration and vandalization. Very few studies though have paid attention to the role and concerns of women in the peacemaking and peace building processes in the region. It is against this background that this study seeks to locate the role of women in attempt to solving the imbroglio. Four research questions were generated for this study.

Trade dispute settlement in wto: in special reference to the India

As a part of the Bretton Woods System, International Trade Organization (ITO) wassupposed to formulate and implement the rules of ‘free and fair’ trade in ‘goods’. It wasonly in January 1995 that a full-fledged institution, i.e., WTO was established withresponsibilities akin to those conceived in ITO Charter.
