Systematic approach to integrated solid waste management system by green cleaning of all municipal area of city Ujjain, India

Now a day’s population growth, urbanization, economic prosperity etc. lead to a sustainable increase in MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE Quantities (Dalal, 2005). A higher polluted country like India generates a high amount of municipal solid waste not only in quantity but the composition also diverse inside the country (Dalal, 2006). This study investigates the green cleaning of the municipal solid waste generated in municipal areas of Ujjain district present in Madhya Pradesh, India.

Variance estimation using linear combination of non conventional measures and coefficient of kurtosis

In the present study we propose new modified ratio estimators for estimating the population variance by using auxiliary information of non conventional location measures, non conventional measures of dispersion and coefficient of kurtosis. The properties associated with the proposed estimators are assessed by mean square error and compare with the existing estimators. By this comparison we conclude that our proposed estimators are more efficient than existing estimators. Numerical study is also provided to support the theoretical results.

Coping with malnutrition related morbidity among children in india in the context of its financial burden

The present paper attempts to discover whether households- whose children under the age of five suffered from acute under-nutrition related ailments in India- are making catastrophic health payment with spatial and socioeconomic gradient, are vulnerable to poverty, and the percentage of vulnerable households to help the policy makers to target the needy segment through social protection. For this purpose, data collected by the National Sample Survey Organization (60th round) is used.

Study of enones as novel aldose reductase inhibitors

Aldose reductase is an NADPH-dependent oxidoreductase that catalyzes the reduction of glucose to sorbitol, the first step in Aldose polyol pathway and this enzyme has been implicated in the development of late diabetic complications . As a consequence, inhibition of this enzyme has gained therapeutic significance and has been the drug target. Conjugated enone moiety present in natural product curcumin shows excellent inhibitory activity for aldose reductase and along these lines we have synthesised a series of conjucated enones and tested their activity.

A systematic review on management of liver cirrhosis through diet

Cirrhosis is an abnormal liver condition in which there is irreversible scarring of the liver. In cirrhosis the liver tissue is replaced by a scar tissue and fibrosis. The people’s political movements of resistance, struggle and change have shaped up the consequential and momentous dogmatic scenarios thereby.

Synthesis and characterization of new schiff-bases derived from 3-nitrophthalic anhydride via its hydrazide derivative

New N-(4-hydroxy phenyl) 3-nitro phthalimide (II) was synthesized from its amic acid (I) using soduim acetate – actic anhydride system as dehydrating agent, which was trarsfered to new ester(III) by the reaction with chloro ethyl acetate, (III) was used to prepare the new hydrazide derivative (IV), this hydrazide was allowed to react with different aldehydes to give their new Schiff-Base derivatives(the hydrazone) (V-IX). All the new compounds were characterized by their m.p., FTIR, C,H,N analysis and 1HNMR for some of them.

Prevalence and management of polycystic ovarian syndrome through diet

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a common heterogeneous endocrine disorder in females of the reproductive age with signs and symptoms, including menstrual irregularity, hirsutism, acne, weight disorders and other metabolic disorders like diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular disorders. Comparative efficacy of certain chemical and natural protectants against polyphagous heliothis armigera in tomato

Heliothis armigera is a cosmopolitan and major pest, which attacks a wide range of cultivated plants including wheat, pulses, oilseeds, fiber crops, vegetables and ornamental plants. This generalist can grow and survive on many different plant species, belonging to more than 37 families in India. It is a severe pest and it feeds on at least 157 plants species. At certain occasions, it has been found that more than 50% crop is damaged by this pest alone. The damage is caused in the larval stage.
