The importance of small businesses to our nation’s economy cannot be overstated. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), in 2013 there were 28.2 million small businesses employing 55 million persons (Small Business Profiles for the States and Territories). Nationally, small businesses represent 99.7% of all businesses and account for 48% of all jobs.Social media is widely used by larger businesses and could be an effective means for small businesses to market to their customer markets.

The conventional system is based on interest which is entirely prohibited in Islam, its utilization is not recommended. Islamic home financing such as Bay Bithaman Ajil (BBA) and Musharakah Mutanaqisah (MM) are proposed as an alternative home financing. MM is believed to be a better option than BBA nowadays.

Human relations practices and performance of elementary school principals in region iii, Philipines

The study aimed to determine the human relations practices of elementary school principals in selected schools in Region III. It focused on the level of performance of school principals and the human relations practices with regards to administrator’s role. The study made use of the descriptive method involving twenty- two (22) school principals and one hundred ninety -seven (197) school teachers. In the statistical data analysis, the Percentage, average weighted mean, T-Test and Analysis of Variance were used.

Mangrove forests form one of the primary coastal ecosystems in the tropical and subtropical region of the world. They are biologically diverse and have therefore traditionally been utilized for food resources, firewood, charcoal, timber and other minor products. However, mangrove ecosystems are very sensitive and fragile. In recent years, the pressures of increasing population, and the resulting expansion of agricultural land and industrial and urban development, have caused a significant proportion of the world’s mangrove resource to be destroyed.

A preliminary survey of pollens in the atmosphere of Khaparkheda Dist. Nagpur (m.S.) India

Atmosphere is composed of both biotic and abiotic components. Among biotic components pollen and fungal spores contribute major amount of aerospora. Release of such components in the environment is depends upon seasonal variation. Present study deals with the study of concentration of pollens present in the atmosphere. Pollen represent the smallest reproductive structure produce in the anthers and at maturity transferred to female part by wind, water, insect, birds etc.

Understanding the extent of community involvement in educational projects in Zanzibar, Tanzania

Most of the projects initiated to solve community problems are reported to have been less sustainable and therefore fail to achieve community goals. Community involvement in project activities is seen to be one of the factors for project sustainability but it has not been considered in various project management phases. This study aimed at assessing the extent of community participation in educational projects in Zanzibar. Partnership model by Narayana (2002) was used in guiding this study. Cross-sectional design and mixed approach were employed.
