The Functional Imperative: Anchoring pattern Maintenance in Modern Social Systems

This position paper addresses sociological scholars, institutional designers, and policymakers concerned with the pervasive Crisis of Trust and systemic disequilibrium in complex social organizations. Utilizing Talcott Parsons’ functionalist AGIL scheme, the paper argues that the crisis is rooted in the failure of modern systems to satisfy the core functional imperatives of Pattern Maintenance (sustaining core values) and Integration (coordinating sub-systems), due to external shocks and cognitive fragmentation.

Severe Paroxysmal Hypertension (Pseudopheochromocytoma) Case Report

Paroxysmal hypertension is characterized by sudden, episodic elevations in blood pressure accompanied by autonomic symptoms such as headache, palpitations, and diaphoresis. These episodes may closely mimic pheochromocytoma, making diagnosis challenging when biochemical and imaging studies are negative. We present a case of severe paroxysmal hypertension in a middle-aged male who experienced recurrent hypertensive crises with normal inter-episodic blood pressure.

Linking human Capacity, Digital systems, and Institutional Contexts for Online learning Transformation in Public Universities

This book chapter provides a comprehensive conceptual synthesis of online learning transformation in public universities, framed through the integrated lenses of human capacity, digital systems, and institutional contexts. Comparative analysis of optimized sustainable leaf insulation tiles and polystyrene for enhanced thermal performance

Polystyrene insulation materials like styrofoam are major contributors to microplastic emissions, posing significant environmental and health risks. Their popular use in construction raises concerns regarding their sustainability. This research investigates a sustainable alternative to polystyrene insulation using fallen leaves from oak trees (OT), maple trees (MT), and birch trees (BT). Leaf insulation tiles were produced through hydro-immersion, boiling, grinding, and chemical treatments with varying hydrochloric acid, glycerin, and sodium hydroxide concentrations.

Rubber cultivation in india: considered a profitable enterprise by providing employment opportunities for round the year to a substantial workforce mainly in rural areas

Acute normovolemic hemodilution: A state-of-art review

Allogeneic blood transfusion is a widely used traditional procedure but still represents a scarce and expensive resource in healthcare. It is also associated with complications such as transmission of infectious diseases, unfavorable outcomes and increased mortality rates. The COVID-19 pandemic worsened blood scarcity and revealed the need for alternatives such as patient blood management − a patient-centered approach that aims to improve clinical results by managing and preserving the patient’s own blood.

Response of paddy to optimizing yield and reducing chemical cost through organic practices

A field experiment was conducted during Kharif 2024–25 at ASPEE Agricultural Research & Development Foundation Farm, Palghar, Maharashtra, to study the effect of different organic and integrated nutrient management practices on the growth and yield of rice variety Ratnagiri-8. Seven nutrient management treatments involving organic manures, biofertilizers, integrated inputs, and chemical fertilizers were tested in a Randomized Block Design with three replications.
